Naresh Kumar Kc was born in Nuwakot, Nepal, which is near the Capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu. Naresh Kumar is a famous Director and Editor. He went to J.D. He then studied and graduated from Oscar International College in Nepal and studied further in America at the New York Film Academy and in Los Angeles, California. He also owns his own Film Production Company called NKK Films Production.

He wrote the script for his first Short, called Take The Lead, in 2009, which he also directed. He is the Writer and Director of Shorts like Fever (2009), Hypermetropia (2011), Crazy Bastard (2011), Revenge Aka Saw XVI (2011), and The Mother (2012). He is most famous for Dying Candle (2013), which has multiple nominations and won many awards globally, such as the 2016 Peace Award at the Cinema Verde Film Festival. Naresh Kumar Kc is also an Editor and has edited many of his movies.
