Deeya Maskey is a famous actress, Kathak dancer, and theater artist in the Nepali film industry. She is widely known for playing the lead role in the 2012 Nepali film Soongava, which was the official film nominated by Nepal for the Oscars. Deeya Maskey debuted as an actress in the 2008 film-Kagbeni and later acted in several films like Ek Din Ek Raat (2011), Saanghuro (2013), Tata Bye Bye (2014), Fitkiri (2014), Hostel Returns (2015), Cosmic Love (2018), Dokh (2022), and Prakash (2022).
For her acting talent in the 2022 film Prakash, Deeya Maskey won the National Award for Best Actress, given by NIFF in 2022. Apart from acting in films, she has worked in various theatrical plays and productions and also became the director of the play-Katha Kasturi.
