Jassita Gurung was born in Pokhara, Nepal on 16 May 1996. Her mother, who is a housewife, is Situ Gurung. Her father used to work as a British Army Officer and is retired. Her brother's name is Ajay Gurung, and her sister is Nicky Gurung. She spent her childhood in Winchester, Hampshire, England, UK, with her parents and close relatives and went to study at the Henry Beaufort School and the Peter Symonds College. She has worked as an actress since 2018.
