Asmi Shrestha is a well-known model of Nepalese origin who gained fame as the winner of the Miss Nepal 2016 beauty contest. She was born on 30th of June in 1993, in Tandi, Chitwan. She achieved her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Ace Institute of Management, Kathmandu, in 2016. Asmi began her modeling career at the age of 16, working with Classic Diamond Jewelers in 2010. She was also casted in a music video for Birsana Sakinna by Sonam Tashi Gurung in 2012. In 2014, she emerged victorious in the "Face of Classic Diamond Jewelers" competition. Her breakthrough moment came in 2016 when she participated in the Miss Nepal 2016 pageant and stood out as contestant number 11.
Throughout the competition, she showcased her elegance and charm, winning titles such as Best Evening Gown, Miss Photogenic, and Miss Personality. Eventually, she secured the coveted title of Miss Nepal World 2016. As a representative of Nepal, Asmi Shrestha competed in the Miss World 2016 pageant and even reached the Top 5 in the Beauty with a Purpose category. Aside from her achievements in the beauty pageant world, Asmi has also ventured into the music industry. She has been casted in several music videos, including Birsana Sakina by Sonam Tashi Gurung in 2012, Chiso Chiso Hawa Ma (Cover) by Sonam Tashi Gurung in 2014, and LAIJAU MALAI by Abhaya and The Steam Engines with DJ Bidhan & Zanrix Ft. Dilli Phombo in 2022.
