Nepali Actress Anna Sharma

Anna Sharma, aka Annapurna Sharma, is a prominent Nepalese film actress and model. She was born on 24 May 1995 in Kathmandu, Nepal. She completed her primary education and Cambridge A- levels from a local school in Kathmandu and did her graduation in business studies from Kathmandu University. Anna’s mother, Rachna Gurung is a choreographer and her father is a businessman. She has two sisters named Ahiliya and Amiliya. 

Since her school days, she desired to be a part of the glamour world; hence she started modeling for a few months in the initial stages of her career. In 2014, she made her successful debut with the film ‘Jerryy,’ opposite Anmol K.C., and even received the NEFTA Award for best debut actor, female. The movie was a romantic drama and a fortunate one.  Her sister Amilia Sharma also appeared in the movie as ‘Puggy’ in a supporting role. This movie became a stepping stone for Anna in her acting career.

Later, she signed up for the role of ‘Akanshya’ in the movie ‘Gangster Blues,’ a romantic thriller movie featuring Aashirman Desh Raj Joshi. She portrayed ‘Anna D. Bananaa’ in the web series ‘Love Instantly,’ in 2016. ‘The Man from Kathmandu’ released in 2019,  became her third movie. The movie received highly positive reviews for its story. The film was about a man who fought a powerful gangster who killed his grandfather.
