Bisharad Basnet was born on April 15, 1992, in the Masnet family of Kathmandu, Nepal. His father Arun Basnet & mother Meera Basnet raised him in a closely-knit family, he was the eldest sibling among the two. He did his primary schooling in Kathmandu and pursued higher education in Arts from Tribhuvan University. During college days, he started preparing performing arts. Basnet has been interested in acting since his childhood. Later on, he was actively involved with the school plays and community performances. He then joined the local theater group, where he worked as a stage actor. Sooner, he acted as a side actor in a few films. He entered the film industry with "Pahilo Prem" in 2015, which brought him into the limelight as a new face. He got recognition from the critically acclaimed movie "Saino". Later he got bigger budget offers and also ad campaigns & short films. He has done expeditions with Clowns without Borders, India to Nepal. Also, He is the founder of Acting School of India (in Mumbai) where he trains actors and Directors. Throughout his career, He has received numerous awards in recognition of his work and contributions to the Nepali cinema.
