Dayanand Kukkaje is a photojournalist who worked for Daijiworld. He was born and brought up in Mangalore. His parents are MK Kukaje and Umavathi Kukaje. He completed his schooling at Government High School, Manila, in Mangalore. He learned photojournalism at the Newspaper National Network. Dayanand has been married to Prathiba BN since 2018.
In 2014, he was felicitated by Minister UT Kadar and actor Shivadwaj on Press Club Day for his service to the media. In 2016, he worked in the Tulu film Dabak Daba Aisa, a Tulu film, which was cinematographed by "Utpal V Nayanar." The film, directed by
