In Uttaran, specifically, she has perfectly handled the character ‘Rohini’ by displaying a variety of emotions. In one of her interview, she acknowledged, “I love the character graph of my character Rohini, where I move back and forth between being a simple woman who loves to eat and blindly follows her husband. I really love her innocence that pins her husband in a quandary at all times.” When the story of ‘Uttaran’ travelled to a time 18 years ahead, Akanksha is still at ease with her role, which has become more entertaining now.
This Cancerian bubbly girl (Birthday comes on July 17) is believed to have also been working hard to be into her dream shape. In fact, her weight concerns has not affected her career graph, but brought her some mature and substantial roles to her kitty. When she was asked about this at an award function, she confessed, “I am glad that the producers cast me for my versatility and give me meaty roles. I have been working really hard and hope to get better roles”.
