Jatin Bora has predominantly worked in Assamese movies. He is active in the profession for over 25 years. He entered the film industry in 1989 and since then was the most looked for poster man of Assamese film industry. Born on April 25, 1970, he pursued his fundamental studies in a school named Marikalang Prathamik Vidyalaya. When he was young, he got himself associated with Navajyoti Sangha Maina Parijat, which is a cultural meet.Â
Here he imbibed Bhaona, the conventional Assamese drama. He also did some performances in Bhaona. Later, he did his graduation. Mukti, of Lakshminath Bezbaroa, was his debut stage endeavor. He was studying in 5th standard then. Jatin holds a Fine Arts diploma. He is very much interested in music and has a Visharad credit in Tabla. He also imbibed Sattriya dance of Assam culture. Jatin was the occasional choice to play Lord Krishna in some local festivals.Â

This was a famous flick of that time. Jatin got himself associated with Hengal Theatre during the year 1994. Eventually, he was given a role from Abahon Theatre.
The 2006 flick Adhinayak was his first directorial endeavor. Hiya Diya Niya is the first prominent success of Jatin in movies. This film was a smashing hit and turned out a cult flick. Assamese cinema gained commercial recognition through this film. Some of Jatin’s noteworthy performances include Suren Suror Putek, Nayak and Kadambari. Jatin has several awards to his credit including the Jyotirupa Joint Media Award, Prag Cine Award, Natasurya Phani Sarma Award and Moonlight Media Award. Mobile Theatre groups are his directorial venture.
