Skylab Movie Review
ORE AST REW
- Vishvak Khanderao
- Performances of the stars are good
- Script is decent
- Narration is not up to the mark
- Editing should have been better
Sky lab is directed by Vishvak Khanderao. Satyadev Kancharana, Nithya Menen, Rahul Ramakrishna, Tanikella Bharani, and Tulasi Shivamani in the cast. Prashanth Vihari composes the music. Aditya Javvadi cranked the camera and Ravi Teja Girijala edited the film. Nithya Menen, Prithvi Pinnamaraju, and Pravallika Pinnamaraju produced the film.
Bandilingam Palli is a village in Telangana. The space station by NASA is about to have a crash landing in South India. Gowri dreams of becoming a journalist and Anand is a doctor, who plans to start a clinic in Bandilingam Palli, as he lost his medical license. Subedar Ramarao joins Anand in setting up the clinic. How they face issues due to this threat forms the rest of the story.
Satyadev, Nithya Menen, Rahul Ramakrishna, and Tanikella Bharani excelled in their roles. Satyadev’s role as a doctor is impressive. His body language is perfect for the role. Nithya Menen perfectly suits the role and impresses.
The script is different from that of the usual rural movies. The screenplay is quite decent. The stars fit perfectly, and the casting team needs a special mention here. The BGM and the cinematography are good. The editing is not up to the mark. Nithya Menen looks so cool and has shed weight. The first half is neat than the second half. The character intro took lot of time and it should have been trimmed. The narration should have been better.
What’s Not There?
The film has a different script, good star cast, and performance. But, it has a weak narration. However, the artists and the script balance the weaknesses in the film. Skylab – watchable once!
