Mehru is the daughter of Hakeem Ahmed, an egoistic person. Hakeem has huge debts and is living in fear of creditors, who might seize his property. Asad is Mehru’s cousin. He loves her and wishes to marry her. But Hakeem rejects Asad’s proposal, as he is a dark-skinned person. Mehru faces embarrassment as she has to dress up twice before different grooms as a part of the bride-seeing. Hakeem is looking for a wealthy person to be his son-in-law, so that he will clear all his debts. What will happen to Mehru? Will she get married to the person whom she loves?
