are the main characters. The plot revolves around two people falling in love despite their families being at odds. They still want to be together for the rest of their lives. Sara and Sultan have fallen in love and wish to marry. The issue is their family. Sara's family is ultra-modern, with her mother studying classical singing and her father being open-minded.
On the other hand, Sultan's mother is a traditionalist, and his father is a feudal lord from Punjab. But when both families meet for the first time, they refuse to accept Sara's decision to return to the village after the wedding. Sultan's family dislikes her ultra-modern family's ways. Later, Sultan's phuphho recognizes her mother from the past and threatens her with revealing the secret from the past.
