Pagalpan is a Pakistani serial that premiered in 2020 on Apna TV. Later, it was distributed on Atrangii TV. It is an Urdu-language serial that focuses on the lives of Ishal Pasha and her cousin Meenal as unexpected changes happen in their life. The story begins with Ishal interrupting a meeting conducted by her father with the board members of the company. Ishal was unhappy with the board’s decision to give the annual excellence award to Meenal, and thus, she persuaded the members to nominate her for the award. Ishal is a stubborn girl who wants what’s best in the world. She often neglects the situation and the people who are affected by her stubborn behavior. Meenal has been a victim of Ishal’s stubbornness. Meenal wasn’t a fighter and always happily gave her things to Ishal to calm her temper; the nomination for the excellence award was one of those things. Ishal always satisfied her ego by making Meenal the victim of her stubbornness. The story moves forward with Meenal crying her heart out to Samad, her friend from college. However, Samad’s brother-in-law saw them together and warned his wife to take care of the situation. Salim had married Samad’s sister because he promised to marry Tania, Salim’s sister. However, watching Samad spend time with another woman made Salim furious. It escalates the situation as he warned his wife that he would divorce her if her brother didn’t marry his sister. The narrative paces when Ishal is introduced to her father’s friend’s son named Khurram. In contrast, Khurram spent his childhood playing with Ishal, there weren’t many things everyday between them.

Khurram was invited to stay with Ishal’s family by her father till the time Khurram buys a new house. Ishal had an attitude and accepted people to remain within their boundaries. While Khurram was flirtatious with Ishal, she didn’t bother to entertain him. She minded her business, and focused on fulfilling her wishes. The story escalates when Ishal’s father feels that Ishal is getting out of his hands, and thus, decides to ask her to marry a man of her choice.
