Durdana Butt is a veteran Pakistani television actress, who spent most of her life in acting. She was known for her comedic acts and she usually played the role of a mother or an aunt in many of her television serials. She was born in Lahore, Pakistan.  The actress started acting during the 60’s and since then, she became one of the most successful Pakistani actresses. She was featured in many Pakistani drama serials and some of her remarkable performances were from PTV Network’s Aangan Terha as Sulatana in the late 1980’s and Tanhaiyaan as Bibi in 1985.

3. Zeba Shehnaz

Zeba or Shaheen is an actress from Pakistan who made her debut in 1962 in a movie called ‘Chiragh Chalta Hai’. Her movie did moderately well at the box office, but gave her a place as an actress in the competitive world of Bollywood. During her three decade long career, she featured in loads of Bollywood movies along with her husband Muhammad Ali. Even though she mostly played the role of a supporting actor, these roles were largely appreciated. She was even a part of the Golden Jubilee Movie of Pakistan named ‘Armar’, directed by Waheed Murad.

4. Bushra Ansari

Bushra Ansari is the daughter of noted Pakistani writer and journalist Ahmad Bashir. She was born in Karachi on February 16, 1954. She did her schooling in Lady Griffin's School at Lahore  and from her early childhood started performing in movies and theatres as a child artist. She completed her intermediate from lahore College of Women University and has a B.A degree from Rawalpindi's Viqar-un-Nisa College for Women.


In 1978, she got married Iqbal Ansari who encouraged her to take up her childhood career of acting and after marriage, she pursued her career in acting with great success. Bushra also tried her hand at writing scripts for films and TV serials and there also she was a great success with Neeli Dhoop, Makaan and Kuchh Dil Ne kaha. Her serial Dil Hai Chhota sa, which she did under supervision of her husband Iqbal Ansari in 2010 for Geo TV is considered to be highest rated TV serial in Pakistan till now. 


Bushra is a very popular and versatile actress and she is equally comfortable in any type of role whether it is a comedy or a serious role. She is also a great singer and and a dynamic compere. She has won numerous awards for her performances. She received Pride of Performance Award in 1989, a Presidential Award from Parvez Musharaf and a Women's Achievement Award fro Benazir Bhutto. She has two daughters who are also accomplished professionals.

5. Majid Jahangir

Majid Jahangir was a Pakistani comic actor and comedian. He was born in 1949. The place of his birth is Karachi, Sindh in Pakistan. His mother was from Hyderabad Deccan, while his father was from Punjab. He married Saba Majid, with whom he has four children. He has two daughters and two sons. One of his son’s names is Fahad Jahangir. Majid Jahangir began his acting career in the famous Pakistani Moin Akhtar’s show “Saat Rang,” which was aired on PTV. From 1979 to 1985, he starred in a popular Pakistan television sketch comedy series “Fifty Fifty,” which was aired on PTV.

6. Shoaib Mansoor

Shoaib Mansoor is a very talented and appreciated director, writer, producer, musician, and lyricist from Pakistan. Shoaib Mansoor, also known as ShoMan, was born on 4th February 1951 to an ordinary family in Karachi, Pakistan with no privilege of a filmy background. He is known for his work in various Pakistani films and television shows. He began his career in the film industry in the 1980s. In 1987, Shoaib Mansoor got into the mainstream of the Pakistani television industry when he wrote and composed the song ‘Dil Dil Pakistan’. The song bought colossal appreciation and recognition to Shoaib, which marked a significant turning to his career.  Shoaib Mansoor started his journey in the 1980s as a lyricist and got part of the pop band ‘Vital Signs’. Later Shoaib stepped into the direction field by directing a music video, ‘Ishq Mohabbat Apna Pan.’

7. Latif Kapadia

Latif Kapadia was born on 27th March 1934 in Nashik, a city in the British-India province of Maharashtra, and he is of Gujarati ancestry. His parents are from the Gujarati village of Abrama, which is close to Navsari. At 13, Latif Kapadia moved to Karachi with his family to begin his theatrical acting career. Kapadia started his acting career in 1953. Kapadia began performing with the Avant-Garde Arts Theatre a few years later. In 1967, he began working with Pakistan Television on television plays.
