Roohi Bano was born on 10th August 1951 in Karachi, Pakistan. She was a renowned Pakistani actress for her roles in television dramas. She was known for her roles in television dramas such as Kiran Kahani, Zard Gulab, and Darwaza. Along with Tahira Naqvi, Khalida Riyasat, and Uzma Gillani, she dominated Pakistani television starting in the 1970s.  Because of her portrayals of melancholy and pessimism in dramas and movies, she was dubbed the Queen of Melancholy. Roohi Bano was the daughter of Alla Rakha, a noted player of India and half-sister of Indian music virtuoso Ustad Zakir Hussain. She joined television while doing her master’s degree in psychology from the Government College, Lahore. She had memorable roles in several well-known TV series, including Zard Gulab, Darwaza, and Kiran Kahani (1973). In 1981, the President of Pakistan presented her with the Pride of Performance award.

Mahreen Jabbar is a New York-based TV Director/ Producer, born in December 1971 in Karachi, Pakistan. She grew around Pakistan's show business. She was highly influenced by her father, Javed Jabbar, a very successful filmmaker and a former Pakistani Senator and Cabinet Minister. She has a BA degree from Saint Joseph's College in Karachi. In 1993, she went to the USA for a two-year filmmaking program at the University of California, Los Angeles. She started as a producer and director for TasVeer productions. CAREER HISTORY She has 20 years of experience in the field and has made16 TV series, 11 TV films, 2 web series, and multiple shorts and medium-length films for TV; her work has been praised and loved by critics and the Box Office alike.

Pakistani actress Maira Khan is known for her roles in films and television. As well as being an actress and model, she also hosts talk shows and is a VJ. She was born on January 10, 1984. Her hometown is Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. Since 2002, she has been working in the Pakistani acting industry. Capricorn is her zodiac sign.

For the Karachi born Pakistani TV actress Sania Saeed, it was but natural that she would enter into enacting dramas, sooner or later. Coming from parents who were highly educated and soaked into drama, she picked up her threads early, while at the same time pursuing her studies. She made her first break into television in 1989 when she was 17, through a street theatre play called “Aurat”. In fact, Sania’s skills in drama were honed and polished by her participation in her father’s troupe, called Dastak.

Dastak was formed in the backdrop of the struggle for democracy in Pakistan in 1982, and it staged street theatre with the help of a closely knit group of volunteer human rights activists. It continued the struggle till 1988 helping to bring to an end Pakistan’s longest running autocratic rule.  It was here that Sania learnt her first lessons in theatre by playing child characters in some of the Urdu versions of world famous plays, including those of Chekov and others.

However, it was actually about 4 years later that she shot into real prominence through her roles in the serial “Aahat” in 1991, followed the very next year by “Sitara Aur Mehrunissa” . 

After these two landmark serials there was no looking back for her. She has a fair mix of TV dramas (about 30) and TV serials (about 16), but her association with TV does not end there, she took part in Talk Shows also, being eminently qualified for the same. She had never ignored her education and completed her course in Clinical psychology after her early education. 

Her association with Dastak also extended even further, when she got her husband, writer director, Shahid Shafaat too, involved in the Dastak movement. Together they formed what was later christened as Katha, a grouping of working children from their hometown, trained into performing street plays. All in all, Sania Saeed is not just a TV personality, but a veritable movement, who with her father Mansoor Saeed and husband Shahid, has brought street theatre in Pakistan to a new level.

A phenomenal producer and a brilliant director, Momina Duraid is the woman behind the popular Pakistani television dramas Humsafar, Dastaan, Udaari, Shehr-e-Zaat, and more. Hailing from a Pashtun background, Momina Duraid was born on June 30, 1971, in Pakistan. She completed her Master’s in Business Administration from the Lahore University of Management Sciences in 1997. She got married to classmate Duraid Qureshi, CEO of Hum Network Ltd. The couple has five children. Her mother-in-law, Sultana Siddiqui, is the founder and president of Hum Network Limited.

Asghar Nadeem Syed is a writer and poet, born on 14^th January 1950 in Multan, Pakistan. He completed his Master's in Urdu from the University of Punjab in Lahore. Asghar is a Ph.D. holder and did his doctorate at Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan. Asghar is famous for his scripts in Pakistani dramas on PTV and STN.

Hassan Sheheryar Yasin, a well-known Pakistani fashion designer, is famous throughout the world. In the fashion sector, he is a genius and a hard worker. Hassan attended Beaconhouse School System for his early education (Pakistan). He graduated from the Pakistan School of Fashion Design as a salutatorian (class of 2000). Yasin is a member of France's La Chambre Syndicale De La Couture Parisienne. He is well-known for his apparel line, and the successful prime-time chat shows Tonite with HSY on Hum Sitaray. Hassan conquered all obstacles and began working as a fashion choreographer in 1994.

Deepak Perwani is a prominent Pakistani model, actor and fashion designer. He is also one of the well-known Hindi Sindhi community member in Pakistan. He was born on 1973 in Mirpurkhas, Sindh, Pakistan and belongs to Mirpur Khaas.

Deepak became popular for making the world’s largest Kurta (upper garment used in South Asia) in year 2007; big enough that a 175-foot tall person can wear it. Later, it was accredited by the Guinness World Records after an arduous documentation process. The Kurta is 800Kg by weight, 101 feet tall and 59.3 inches wide. The sleeves are measured 57 feet long each. The making took 30-days and the creative teams consists of 50 dedicated professional tailors and it was made by cotton blend fabric with a total of 800 yards. This earnings that he got from the world’s largest Kurta will later be given to the children of the Edhi Foundation in Pakistan.

Deepak has his own fashion boutique located in Pakistan. His creations symbolizes Power and Men’s confidence as stated in the Men’s Designing by Deepak Perwani. He participates in various national and international fashion shows and present his brilliant and unique designs, from where he receives a lot of fame and accolades. Aside from this, Deepak won the Lux and Indus Style Awards. He also set a signature name of his own name, ‘Deepak Parwani’. He never follows any traditional or modern designs, but he usually creates a design of its own. In 1996, he also launched his flagship store located in Zamzama. Recently, he took the number one position at the Bulgarian Fashion Awards (BFA) and became the 6th Best Fashion Designer around the world, from which he scored 7925.77 points. He also won 5 awards at the Eirine Awards including the Fan’s Favorite award with 3,694 votes on Facebook, Unique Acknowledgements Award for making the world’s largest Kurta and the Charity and Humanitarian support award for his association on many global charitable organizations and got a cash price of 6000 Euros.

Besides being a professional and brilliant designer, Deepak is also an actor. He stared to act when he was 19-years old with Aneeta Ayoob, and as of now, he completed five dramas and three telefilms. He appeared in the 2007 mini-series, Meray Paas Paas and later, he played the role of Mahmud, a father who is saddened by his daughter’s mental condition in the Pakistani mystery drama series, Kadoorat in 2013. Humayun Saeed has been known famously across Pakistan and its film industry for his great acting skills and also as a producer of films. This talented and famous personality was born on the 27th day of July in the year 1971 in Karachi, Pakistan. Humayun is one of the five siblings that he has. Humayun studied in college for the degree of Bachelors in Commerce after which he started working at a factory for garments which was named H. Nizam Din (Pvt) Ltd for the post of a Production Manager for four years from 1991 to 1995. He entered the film industry through the movie Inteha in the year 1996. His debut TV play was Ye Jahan. Since then he has appeared in 64 television dramas and movies. When he decided to get into the film industry, his parents rebuked him and became disappointed with his decision.

Sheheryar Munwar is an actor and a model from Pakistan. He has appeared in the TV serial Meray Dard ko Jo Zuban Miley, for which he won Hum Award for Best New Sensation Television. With this recognition, he got opportunities in different serials like Tanhaiyan Naye Silsilay, Zindagi Gulzar Hai, Aasmanon Pay Likha and Kahi Un Kahi. Indeed, the serial Meray Dard Ko Jo Zuban Miley is the debut show of Sheheryar. His role got good recognition, as it portrayed the character of a deaf and dumb boy. The daily serial was started in 2012 and was aired on Hum TV.

The fresh and young sensation of Pakistani film and drama industry Ali Rehman Khan. The theater, television and film actor, Ali started his career with a film ‘Slackistan’ which couldn’t release due to controversies. The positive, optimistic and good natured man didn’t gave up but learned from his failure and moved on. His debuted performance in his first drama serial ‘Rishtey Kuch Adhoray Say’ in which his performance was very much appreciated and he won an award for ‘best new sensation on HUM TV’. His next drama serial “Muhabat Ab Nahi Hogi’ in which he played his character of Hashar so well. It was hard to ignore his performance. Although he is new in industry, his acting is so refined and polished that he never fails to draw attention towards him. The grey eyes and pathan looks brings an X factor in his work. His recent play ‘Dyar e Dil’ 2015 being played on TV now in which he is playing the character of a brother and eventually an old father triple the times of his own age is so magnificently displayed that no one can hint him to be a starter. There is definitely long way to go for him and we wish him All the very best for his future.

Adnan Malik is a multi-talented man of Pakistani origin. He is an actor, producer, director, filmmaker, and video jockey. He was born on June 9, 1984, in Islamabad in Pakistan. He went to the International School of Islamabad in Pakistan. He studied filmmaking at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie. His mother is also an actress in the Pakistani film industry – Praveen Malik and his father is a doctor. Adnan began his career as a documentary filmmaker, producing works such as Why We Fight, which was recognized as one of the best American documentaries at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival. In 2003, he created the short documentary Bijli, which won Best Short Film at the Kara Film Festival and Delhi Digital Film Festival and was a finalist at the United States Student Academy Awards. His next documentary, Bhuli Hui Hoon Dastaan (The Forgotten Song), was funded by Geo TV and was screened at film festivals worldwide.

Noman Ijaz is a Pakistani actor, who was born on 14th February 1965 in Lahore, Pakistan. His father was a manager at one movie theatre in Lahore and his father’s job influenced him a lot in getting into the acting career. His family led a simple and humble life and his father wanted to make sure that all of his three children received good education and they were sent to the best Christian Management schools in Lahore. Noman has two brothers and he is now married to Rabia and they have three children.

He began his acting career through PTV and he acted mainly in dramas. He was famous for his negative roles in the dramas and is considered as one of the most respected senior artists in the Pakistan industry. Noman struggled a lot to find his place in the industry initially and he was widely respected for his hard work and humble behaviour. He started his career with a negative role in the drama ‘Rihaee’ which made him famous both among the audience and the industry folks.

He has an Urdu movie ‘Ramchand Pakistani’ to his credit which was released in 2008. He portrayed a Pakistani Hindu, who crossed the border towards India accidently and his wife’s role was played by Nandita Das in the movie. He was honoured by Pakistan president with the ‘Pride of performance award’ in 2011. He currently hosts a TV show on PTV.

Guddu Shani is a serial entrepreneur with many skills. He is popular in Pakistan for his coaching skills. Guddu Shani completed his M.A. from the University of Punjab in 2003. He started his career by working as a puppeteer at the Al Hamra Arts Council in January 1997. He joined ICAP USA in January 1998 as a UI Designer. After learning 3D graphics and animation, Guddu Shani founded two design studios: Demond Circle in 1999 and Phenomenal Studios in 2002. These design studios offered services like web development, catalog design, 3D modeling, and animation.
