Sahithi - Telugu vari aahara charithra is a Telugu TV show that aired on the channel DD Saptagiri every Thursday at 9:30 pm. The show was hosted by anchor T. S. Annapurna. Sahithi is a show about the Telugu literature and food. It aims to revive the lost culture and history behind the Telugu special food items. Every episode features a different Telugu literary expert who states facts about the commodities, as explained in the ancient literature. They read out excerpts from manuscripts or books and translate them into present-day language. These excerpts provide evidence of the facts stated by the experts. They give examples about the food items which have placed a pivotal role in ancient kingdoms and mythology, their origin, their place in the present-day cultures and festivals.
