Chimanrao Gundyabhau is the reboot version of the 1977 serial of the same name. It was inspired by the stories penned by CV Joshi. The reboot version started airing on DD Sahyadri on 11th July 2022. It aired on Mondays at 7:30 pm and 10 pm, Tuesdays at 10:30 am and 1:30 pm, and Sundays at 6 pm.
Chimanrao and Gundyabhau are cousins. They have contrasting personalities. Chiman Rao is married and has three children: Moru, Maina, and Raghu. He works as a clerk and leads a middle-class life. Gundya is a bachelor. They both live in Pune and meet frequently and share their daily experiences.
