1. Kavitha Nair

Kavitha Nair is a popular Malayalam serial actress and an anchor. She was born in Kottayam and completed her schooling in Baker Memorial Girls High School, Kottayam. She was a shy and reserved girl; however her school played a vital role in grooming her. She participated in school and college programs during the youth festivals and won many awards. Acting became a part of her life. Based on her performances in the youth festival, she got her break as an anchor. She started her career during her 12th standard by anchoring the famous morning show, ‘Ponpulari’ of Surya TV. She got her 1st Serial, ‘Kaliveedu’ after anchoring for almost two years in ‘Ponpulari’. Kavitha also acted in two more serials: ‘Rahasyam’, where she did the character of an IPS officer for Asianet TV, and ‘Aparichitha’ for Doordarshan. Most of her viewers know her as a police officer. She also hosted award shows and had conducted interviews with celebrities from different channels. She did a film-based live show for Surya TV called ‘Ningalkkariyamo’ and ‘Gandharvasangeetham Grand Finale.' She has done small roles in the movie like Mambazhakkalam, which was directed by Joshy; Kurukshetra, which was directed by Major Ravi; and Mohanlal, in which she was the lead role. She was also seen in the movie Swapnasanchari, under the direction of Kamal, in the leading role. Recently she did a song scene for the movie "Hotel California" written by Anoop Menon and directed by Aji John. She has acted for a telefilm, 'Vadakakku Oru Hridayam,' by Padmarajan for Amrita TV. She also acted in a telefilm "For Hire," written by Anu Mohan and directed by Vishnu Raghav, from which she got a lot of positive reviews from her fans. Apart from being an actress, she is also a writer and was associated with a web magazine called ‘Kanikonna.' People loved and appreciated her writing, which gave her the inspiration to publish a book from which is a collection of short stories. Her ambition is to own a bookstall, and as of now she has a mini library out of her collection of favorite books. Her ambition is to do a film based show on her own. She is a passionate actress and very selective in choosing her roles. She wants to be famous as an actress and not as a police officer.

2. Chandra Lakshman

Chandra Lakshman is a famous television serial and movie actress from Kerala. Born in 1983, Chandra is the only daughter of Mr. Lakshman and Mrs. Malathi. Chandra was brought up in Chennai, and she has a degree in Hotel Management. Chandra’s entry into the entertainment industry was quite unexpected. She was a strongly focusing on her career in hotel management when an acquaintance introduced her to the show business. Chandra is a well trained dancer and a veteran of several stage shows and competitions. Chandra debuted in a Tamil movie “Mamas Elam” and later acted in Malayalam movies like “Stop Violence,” “Balram vs. Tharadas,” “Pauma Pula,” “Chakram” and “Kalyana Kurimanam.”

3. Ibrahim Kutty

Ibrahim Kutty is a famous actor from Kerala, and he is the brother of Mammootty, the mega star of Malayalam cinema. Ibrahim’s son, Makbul Rahman, is also stepping into Mollywood, following his uncle, cousin, and father. Makbul’s first movie was, “Asura Vittu”, and Ibrahim also has a daughter named Asha. Ibrahim decided to follow the successful path of his elder brother. He started his career in serials and later moved on to movies. He played a very critical role in the serial, “Paethu Ozhiyate” as Jayabharathi’s son-in-law. In the super hit serial, “Amma”, he plays the role of a retired judge, Govintha Menon.

4. Irshad

Irshad is an Indian actor in Malayalam films. He hails from Kecheri, Thrissur, Kerala. Irshad was so passionate about movies that he left his job to look for a role in Malayalam movies.His family and friends in Thrissur has been his encouragement, according to the actor.

Irshad showed his face on screen in PG Viswambaran’s movie Parvathi Parinayam in 1995, but had a real debut in the role of college union chairman in director Sibi Malayil's campus movie Pranayavarnangal in 1998. He acted in PT Kunju Muhammad’s Garshom, which was an offbeat movie, in 1999 and this led to Irshad being casted in the lead roles in many parallel cinemas. He acted in movies of many acclaimed, award winning directors like T V Chandran, Priyanandanan, Pavithran etc. His  important parallel movies are Neythukaran (2001), Danny (2002), Paadam Onnu Oru Vilapam (2003), Paradesi (2007), Bhoomi Malayalam (2009) etc. His role in Padam Onnu Oru Vilaapam as cruel husband of protagonist Shahina, a 15 year old Muslim girl, gained him a lot of popularity. He has also done noted roles in Priyanandana’s Pulijanmam (2006) and Dr. Biju’s Veettilekkulla Vazhi (2011) and P.K Radhakrishnan’s Mukham Moodikal (2013).

Irshad has also done many supporting characters in mainstream movies, now and then, since Narasiham in 2000. Offlate, he has shifted his focus from parallel movies to mainstream movies. He did the lead role of Maruthapuram Vishwan, alcoholic husband of protagonist Sumangala played by Kavya Madhavan, in director Priyanandana’s mainstream movie Bhakthajanangalude Shradhakku. His recent noted roles are as villain character Chakka Maniyan in Lal Jose’s  Pullipulikalum Aattinkuttiyum (2013), as  Sub Inspector in Drishyam and Issac in Memmories (2013). He has also acted in 6 movies in 2014. His roles were well received in hit movies like Sapthamasree Thaskara and Vikramadithyan. The second mainstream movie in which Irshad has done the lead role opposite Lakshmi Gopalaswami, Yathra Thudarunnu, is expected to hit the theaters by the end of 2014. 

Irshad has acted in many telefilms  like Veyil Thumbikal, Award winning Malayalam telefilm Directed by- Priyanandan. Irshad has done only few Malayalam serials. His character in serial Madhavam directed by Saji Sundaresan telecasted on Asianet during 2007-2008 gained attention. He is not very active in serial  in recent years since he is more concentrating on doing films.

Apart from films the actor is very much socially committed. He has contested and lost in a block Panchayath election in 2000. He is also part of many social movements in Trissur and other parts of Kerala, like the one demanding the ban of the use of endosulfan in the state. 

Irshad is the third son of his parents Abdu and Nafeesa Thrissur. His wife is  Ramseena and has a son, Arshiq.

5. Arun Ghosh

Arun Ghosh is an actor and producer of movies and serials. A native of Thrissur, he shot to fame by playing the role of the younger Innocent in, 'Innocent Kathakal', a telefilm series on the life of actor-turned-MP Innocent, aired by Asianet TV. Ajay Ghosh has acted in various movies, including ' Ishtam' and 'Romans', and produced movies such as 'Greetings', 'Vellaripravinte Changathi', and 'Ulsaha Committee', His most notable mini-screen performance is that of JP in the TV serial 'Parijatham', in which he depicts the role of a wealthy businessman with various shades to him.

6. Anil Murali

Anil Murali is an Indian film actor in Malayalam cinema. He has completed over 100 films in Malayalam. He started out in the film industry as a villain before taking on character roles. 

Anil Murali began his acting career as a positive character  in director Vinayan’s film Kanyakumariyil Oru Kavitha  in 1993. He acted in Lenin Rajendran's off beat movie Daivathinte Vikrithikal in 1994. He acted in Mammootty film Stalin Sivadas in 1999. It was Valkkannadi by Anil Babu in 2002 which gave him a real villain role. He was an integral part of Malayalam movies since 2002. He is continuing his journey doing some of the best villain characters in Malayalam films. His villain role Nenja Hakkim in Ivar (2003), as Raghu in Kayam (2010),  and Podiyadi Soman in City of God (2011) were appreciated very well. He also did many character roles in some of the recent hit movies like as S K in Manikyakallu in 2011 and as Davis in Amen in 2013. He is also part of many of the recent Malayalam movies like At Andheri , Double Barrel, Dollphin Bar, Polytechnic etc.

Recently in 2013 Anil Murali has made his debut in Tamil movies through V Z Durai's crime thriller 6 Melugu Vathigal. Anil is playing an interesting villain Diwakar, who is a bit feminine in his mannerism, oppossite Shaam and Poonam Kaur. Anil has also played an important role of Anil Menon in bilingual Tamil movie Nimirndhu Nil (Janda Pai Kapiraju in Telugu) starring Jayam Ravi in Tamil and Nani in Telugu. The Telugu version has Amala Paul in the lead role.

Anil is married to Suma who is working in Bharath Matrimonial. They have a son, Adithya and a daughter, Arundathi. Anil and family live in Edappally, Cochin.

Anil had also played important roles in the hit films, Avatharam, 100 Degree Celsius, Iyobinte Pusthakam, Ramaleela, Aakashamittayee, Shadow, Joseph, Uyare, Brother's Day, Moonam Pralayam, Forensic and Professor Dinkan. He had also played in the super hit Tamil movies, Thani Oruvan, “Kanithan,” “Appa,” “Kodi,” Enga Amma Rani, “Thondan,” Nagesh Thiraiyarangam, Mr Local, Jiivi, “Nadodigal 2” and his last film “Walter” that released in 2020. Anil had been suffering from liver ailments. He had been getting the treatment at a private hospital in Kochi. His body could not recuperate to the medications and the 56-year-old actor had his last breath on 30th July 2020.

7. Anil GS

Anil GS is a Malayalam writer known for scripting movies like Annorikkal, D Company, and To Noora With Love. One of his initial movie projects includes the 2005 Malayalam flick Annorikkal, for which Anil wrote both the screenplay and dialogues. Sarathchandran Wayanad helmed the movie. It features Narain, Kavya Madhavan, Mani, and Kalaranjini in pivotal roles. The story focuses on a village girl who works hard to pay off her deceased father’s debts. However, the moneylender is not just interested in the obigations but also in the girl. The writer has to his credit another flick Chaverpada, released in 2010. The action- thriller, helmed by T. S. Jaspal, stars Bala, Manikuttan, Arun Cherukavil, and Muktha Elsa George in prominent roles. The movie centers around a cluster of students pursuing engineering who develop software that results in further troubles, thus making them a target of the cops. However, before the police find them, they are caught by terrorists, which results in the cops rescuing them.
