A contestant of the famous Kannada Reality show “Kannadada Kotyadhipati Season 2," Hussain Basha, won the Rs 1 crore cash prize (ultimate cash prize) on 29th April 2013. He was the first winner of this show. The host was the popular actor, Puneeth Rajkumar. “Kannadada Kotyadhipati” is produced by “BIG Synergy," the Kannada version of the popular Hindi game show “Kaun Banega Crorepati," It is an adaptation of Britain’s popular quiz show “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.” The first winner of the show indeed received much attention and praise from the media and public as well. A college student in 2013, Hussain belongs to a village named “Gangavathi taluk” of Koppal district, Karnataka, India. Coming from a farmer's family with poor financial conditions, his achievement was a huge milestone. With four sisters and a young brother in his family, Hussain had a lot of responsibility. He completed his schooling in the village and later pursued his higher education from a residential High School. He studied at Siddaganga in Tumkur for a few years; Sri Shivakumara Swamiji was his mentor. Unfortunately, Hussain had to quit his studies due to his financial condition and do odd jobs like cleaning lorries. Later, he continued his pre-university course in 2010. He wanted to become an IAS officer.

2. Prabhu Deva

Prabhu Deva is one among the populous cinema person in India. He was born in the year 1973 in Mysore to Sundaram. Sundaram is a popular dance master in South India. Prabhu Deva entered the film industry at the early age. He has assisted his father in the film Vetri Vizha, in which Kamal Hassan and Prabhu did the lead roles. He appeared in Raja song along with Karthik Muthuraman, in the film Agni Natchathiram, a Mani Ratnam movie. He started his career in the film industry as a dancer and choreographer and later, developed himself as an actor. He made his debut as a hero through, Kadhalan, a Shankar movie. This movie was a super hit with the super songs by A. R. Rahman.

3. Puneeth Rajkumar

Puneeth was born on 17th March 1975 in Madras, Tamilnadu. He entered the industry when he was six months old. Although he hails from Madras, he was brought up in Bengalaru. He left his studies in order to work in the cinema but later achieved a diploma in computer science privately. He has a family background where all his brothers, as well as his father, are involved in the same industry. As a child artist, Puneeth worked in movies like ‘Geetha and Bhagyavantha’. He was applauded for his performance as a child and received national film award for best child artist.

In 2002, Puneeth was seen playing the lead role for the first time in ‘Appu’. He received a national award for his movie ‘Butada hoovu’. Puneeth is trained in dancing, fighting and martial arts. He was involved in the mining business for a short span of time. Moreover, he was also engaged in the production of movies and TV serials. Puneeth loved his father, Dr Rajkumar a lot and therefore built a hotel in Bengalaru, as per his father’s wish. He also carried out philanthropic work in Shakti Dharma ashram, Mysore. Puneeth married Ashwini Revanth in December 1999 and has two daughters. He is an Italian designer wear freak and loves watching Spanish and Hollywood films. He admires Michael Jackson as a singer.

Puneeth Rajkumar was not only an actor but a producer, singer, and TV Presenter. He hosted Kannadada Kotyadhipati for the 1st, 2nd, and 4th seasons. Puneeth was the brand ambassador of Nandini Milk Products of the Karnataka Milk Federation. He was also the ambassador of Royal Challengers Bangalore, the Karnataka team in the Indian Premier League. Besides the National Award as a child actor, he had received lots and lots of awards from the Karnataka State Government for his Best performances in Milana and Jackie, from SIIMA for Hudugaru, Yaare Koogadali, Rana Vikrama, and “Raajakumara” and from Filmfare South, he received the Best Actor award for the films, Arasu, Hudugaru, Rana Vikrama, and Raajakumara.

4. Mugur Sundar

Mugur Sundar is known for donning various hats: actor, dancer, director, and choreographer. He is known as the guru of contemporary dance sequences in south Indian movies and has choreographed dancing steps for several Indian actors. He is also famous in the film fraternity as the father of noted choreographer, dancer, actor Prabhu Deva. Even Mugur Sundar was an excellent choreographer who has directed over 10,000 dance sequences in various South Indian movies.
