Plot
The plot of the series revolved around an activist who is also a transgender. In the story her name is Gauri Sawant. It captured her transformation into a more mature and bold woman. As the series proceeded, Gauri focused on her journey towards the motherhood. In India, push the transgender people to the margins of the society. They don’t even have the right to enter into motherhood. The series is based on actual events. Towards the end, due to Gauri’s struggle, India offically recognises three genders: male, female, and transgender.
Star performance
Shreegauri Sawant is the main character in the series. As the series is biographical, Gauri’s character is the most important. Her character is intense and unique. Sushmita Sen played her character. Definitely, Sen gave most dramatic performance. Being the protagonist, she brilliant portrayed Gauri’s character. Sen was bold and consistent in her acting throughout the show. She totally fit in the role. The supporting actors include Ankur Bhatia, Aishwarya Narkar, Hemangi Kavi, Krutika Deo, Suvrat Joshi, Nandu Madhav, Sheetal Kale, Buland Singh, Suvrat Joshi, Maya Rachel McManus, Hemant Choudhary, Nitish Rathore, Meenakshi Chugh, Anil Rastogi, Shaan Kakkar, Vishaal Kapoor, and Naren Prajapati. They rather delivered an incredible performance.
Analysis
Taali is a fantastic show. The directors perfectly blended Gauri’s sacrifice and struggle with the more significant battle ongoing in society. The series definitely challenges the perspective of the commoners and narrow minded people. It forces people to bring out their humanity. The script is definitely well- researched and well-executed. It is a compelling and exciting show.  All the actors including the main cast and the supporting cast did excellent work. Sushmita sen, the protagonist delivered a rather bold and consistent acting.
The show is more than what it is. It is a representation of the historical battle that Gauri fought in her life. Her sacrifice made the third gender documented in official records. The series’ execution is excellent as well. The show makers did a great work. The chemistry on screen between the various actors is fantastic. It has beautiful cinematography as it captures the locality of Indian society. Although, the series’ episodes should have been longer. The songs used are fabulously used.
