Innocent Criminals is a Hindi web series airing on the channel Gemplex TV. It is a crime thriller drama that premiered on June 25th, 2021, in India on the OTT platform of Gemplex. The show revolves around three friends living in a rented flat. The three friends, Abhik, Rishi, and Sanju, have a liking for their landlady Varsha and her stepdaughter Ruchika. One day, Sanju comes to Abhik and Rishi with a compromising video of their landlady getting intimate with someone. Sanju plans to blackmail her with the video to get some money. His friends, although hesitant at first, eventually agree to his plan. They make a ransom call to Varsha and ask for Ten Lakh Rupees if she does not want her intimate videos to get leaked online.
She agrees and gets ready to give them the money. The plan, however, quickly backfires. The friends lose the money and get in huge trouble. Sanju reveals to Abhik and Rishi that, in reality, the plan was made by the stepdaughter Ruchika, who seduces him and makes him carry out his dirty work. Ruchika then betrays them and runs away with the money herself. But she does not realize that Abhik and Rishi have dark pasts and are more cunning and violent than the other people think. In the end, do we know if they are innocent or criminals? The first season of the show is readily available on the official website of Gemplex TV with a paid subscription. The cast includes Abhik Benazir, Anchit Joshi, Kanika Chawla, and Neha Poonia, and it was directed by Ashok Kumar Panda. The series was also written by Anchit Joshi.
