The actor had found his own identity with this serial. The series was telecast in the year 1980. It is a story of a USA-based bridegroom who visits India to find out a suitable partner for him. Mohan Gokhale is an MBA graduate from America and introduces himself as Yogesh Ishwarlal Patel and later changes his name to Mr. Yogi. He meets 12 girls in India and tries to settle with one girl as his bride. Who is that perfect bride?

Ketan Mehta got Indian Telly best direction award for this serial. Om Puri’s voice suited and added extra charm to the serial. He would begin the narration by telling one-word ‘sutradhaar.' His part too was critically acclaimed. All TV serial lovers loved the character of Mr.Yogi because of its unique story outline which combined with humor and had a perfect chemistry of all actors. The reason the series provided humor was because he meets 12 girls of different ‘Rashis’ or ‘Stars’. Every week he meets up a new girl of the respective star signs such Aries, Taurus, Cancer, Libra, Scorpio, Capricorn, etc.
