Dhruv Tara is a romantic story of Tara and Dhruv. The story revolves around 17th-century Princess Tara Priya-Ballabgarh, with a secret passion for healing people, who time-travels to the 21st century (2023) in search of someone who can save her terminal brother [ Mahavir].
Tara can control the growth of Mahavir's brain tumor to some extent, but no cure exists for it in her era. Tara, with Mahavir's support, secretly learns about and practices Ayurveda, but being a woman, she is forbidden to work openly as a doctor (Vaidya).
Amidst the wondrous modern world, the princess finds a talented neurosurgeon, Doctor Dhruv. After much difficulty, Tara takes Dhruv to his 17th-century home to treat his brother and, in the process, discovers an unlikely bond of love. She is wary of Dhruv because she believes he connected to what happened to her father.
