‘Adrishya’ is a narrative fictional tale which analyzed the history of trained soldier in the perils of warfare. ‘Adrishya’ in English means invisible. The show hence stated very briefly that there were many soldiers in the Indian war, who were invisible, unhindered, risking their lives to protect the honor of the country, state or kingdom.
The show wanted to take the viewers through some brave tales of soldiers who have understood the meaning of wars through their eyes, and how their privacy became well-known thoughts as they inched forward fulfilling tier missions. Many soldiers In Indian history, they are also known as India’s greatest spies.
Hence, the narration in the TV series ‘Adrishya’ was to take forward spy’s heroic acts so that people could understand how these soldiers fought wars with their wits and brains too. Episode-1 had focused on the tale of Bahirji Naik, King Shivaji’s Chief Intelligence officer who was a tribal warrior and Shivaji chose him to represent the Marathas.
Traces of his genius can be understood when Adil Shahi Empire was brought down by 300 odd men. Thus, Bahirji Naik had managed to sink as the warrior into the pages of Indian history. Episode -2 had a focus on Noor Inayat Khan, who was a Sufi poet and princess by birth and how she became the ‘unlikely spy’ when World War –II drew close.
In the episode -3, it narrated the tale of Brihaspati, the teacher of Gods (known as Guru), who sends his son Kacha into the land of demons. The television show proved how in the days of war between Hindu Gods and demons, there was a role for ‘unlikely spy’ in Hindu mythology even.
