Sana Makbul was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra and completed her higher education from National College. From her childhood, she had a passion for modeling and acting. After her college education, she decided to try modeling and worked as a model for a few years after which she got the opportunity to appear on T.V in a reality show aired in 2009 known as ‘MTV Scooty Teen Diva’ and in the same year, she also appeared in a musical series.

Melissa Pais, born on August 11 1983 in Goa, India, has contributed immensely in the growth of the Hindi TV industry as an actress. She is Mumbai-based actress that completed her schooling from St Louis Convent High School and graduated from Wallia College of Mumbai. She is popular for the roles that she has played in the Hindi TV soaps -‘Maha Sangram’ (2010) and ‘Comedy Circus Ke Superstar (2010). 

Melissa Pais has two siblings. One of her sisters Melanie Pais is also trying her luck in the industry. Melisa has worked in a number of award winning and heart touching TV serials. Some of the popular TV programs she worked in included, ‘Karma’ (2004), ‘Parrivaar’ (2007), ‘Miley Jub Hum Tum’ (2008), ‘Comedy Circus (2009), ‘C.I.D’ (2007), ‘Sajan Re Jhooth Mat Bolo’ (2010), ‘Goolmal Ha Bhai Sab Goolmal Hai’ (2012).  She has also played negative roles in soaps – ‘Stree... Teri Kahani’, ‘Adhoora Bandhan’, and ‘Main Banungi Miss India’ which was telecasted on DD National channel. 

Currently, she is working in an Indian horror comedy television series ‘Pritam Pyare Aur Woh’.  The serial is Indian television’s first ghost buster, which is based on the lives of pritam and pyare who save lives of people with the help of maki bhootmare. In the serial, Melissa Pais appears as Bhootrina.

Choti Bahu-Sawar Ke Rang Rachi was one of the serials she was seen in. But she is most known for her role in Uttaran being aired on Colors channel. Here she plays the role of Divya Thakur or Thakurain as everyone addresses her in the serial. Uttaran follows the lives of two friends of varied backgrounds, Ichcha-the daughter of a maid and Tapasya, daughter of the well to do Jogi Thakur and Divya. This serial has already completed more than 1100 episodes and is still going strong.

Pragati got the offer of Uttaran through a social networking site. It happened at the time when she was working in another serial on Star Plus – Kumkum. Lately Pragati has been absent from the sets of Uttaran and it is rumored that she is being replaced by Pyumori Mehta of “Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon” fame. It is reported that Pragati has left Uttaran for Life Ok channel’s Do Dil Ek Jaan where she will play the role of Daya Mai.
