Tapan Sinha, one of the foremost Indian directors of his time was born on 2nd October 1924 and died on 15th January. 2009.He formed the legendary quartet with Satyajit Ray, Ritwik Ghatak, and Mrinal Sen. Being primarily a Bengali filmmaker, he worked in both Hindi Cinema and Bengali Cinema, making films including Kabuli Wala, Louha Kapat, Sagina Mahato, Apanjan,Kshudhita Pashan, and children's films Safed Haathi and Aaj Ka Robinhood. Sundaram Balachander, known as S. Balachander, was an Indian musician, director, screenwriter, and composer. He was born on January 18, 1927, in Madras, British India. He started as a child artist in the Tamil cinema with Seetha Kalyanam in 1934, which he portrayed as a child musician in Ravana’s court. He also appeared in Rishyasringar and Araichimani. 'Kidar Sharma', whose birth name is Kidar Nath Sharma, born on April 20, 1920 was a film producer, director, lyricist, actor, and screenwriter of Indian nationality. He was born into a very poor family in Narowal, Punjab, Pakistan. He had three brothers and two sisters. However, two of his brothers named Vishwa and Ragunath, and one sister Taro died at a young age due to different diseases.

The last of them, Himmat Rai Sharma, became a renowned Urdu poet. Kidar studied at Baij Nath High School, Amritsar. From his school days, he was a creative child and would take a keen interest in photography, philosophy, painting, and poetry. Born on August 22, 1915, in Calcutta (Kolkata), Sombhu Mitra was an Indian movie and stage on-screen character, recite, director, writer and an Indian theater identity. He is the son of Sharat Kumar Mitra, who is an employee at the Geological Survey of India and Satadalbasini Mitra. He had six siblings and Sombhu was 6th among them. He began his education in Chakraberia Middle English School and later proceeded to the Ballygunge Government High School in Calcutta, where he created spirit perusing Bengali plays and got to be distinctly dynamic in school shows. In 1931, he went on to join St. Xavier's College of Calcutta and soon began going to the nearby theater.
