Jagat Murari was a very well-known Indian Film director and producer. He was born on 5th October 1924 in Patna, Bihar. He died at the age of 85 on 13th April 2007 after battling cancer. He won the best experimental film award (1973), all India Certificate of Merit for the Best Documentary Film (1964), Presidents Gold Medal for the Best Documentary Film (1953).
