Jayashri Ramnath or Bombay Jayashri, as she is known, is an Indian Carnatic musician, composer, and singer. Born in Kolkata, Jayashri belonged to a family of musical cognoscenti. Her parents, N. Subramaniam, and Seeta encouraged her to pursue the art of Carnatic music right from the tender age of four. Later on, Jayashri continued her education in music under T. R. Balamani for nearly a decade. She completed her scholastic education from St. Anthony’s High School in Chembur and graduated from the R.A.Poddar College in Mumbai. Jayashri also trained under the careful tutelage of the Padmashree Lalgudi Jayaraman, in Chennai, and learned to play the instrument Veena from G.Dhandapani Iyer. Her inception to concerts occurred in the year 1982, and ever since, Jayashri has graced stages all over the country such as the Rashtrapati Bhavan, Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, India International Centre, and cultural events such as Vishnu Digambar Festival, Bhakti Utsav, all in New Delhi. Besides, Jayashri has also performed at the Kuthira Malika and Surya festivals, in Trivandrum, the Saptak in Ahmedabad, and also in the metropolitan city events such as at the ITC Sangeet Research Academy in Kolkata, Shanmukhananda Sabha in Mumbai, and the Chowdia Memorial Hall in Bengaluru.

Saindhavi is the female Tamil singer who sings for movies, TV serial, and albums. She was born on 3rd January, 1989. She excels both in light music as well as classical music. She started singing at the young age of 3. She is excellent in Carnatic music. From very young age, she has been performing in various temples as well as concerts. Till now she has performed in over 1500 concerts worldwide. She had her primary education from Chettinad Vidyashram School in RA Puram, in Chennai, India studied Sociology and Psychology. Later, the director auditioned her for the role. The actress also is doing a small cameo in ‘Atlee’s Vijay 59,’ where she will play the role of a doctor.

Sunaina is the beautiful south Indian film actress. She was born in the year 1989 in Nagpur. This beautiful actress had lots of dreams to act in the cinema and she made her dream come true through the Telugu movie Something Special. This movie got released in the year 2006. While she was acting in her next movie 10th class in Telugu, she got the offer to act in a Malayalam movie called, Best Friends. She was given the opportunity to act in the Tamil film Sivaji, with Rajini. But the scenes were deleted; if not, it would have been her Tamil debut movie.

Uthara Unnikrishnan is the daughter of Indian playback singer Unni Krishnan. She came to spotlight for winning National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer in 2015 for her rendition of the song ‘Azhagu’ from Tamil film ‘Saivam’. She is the first Indian playback singer to record a song at the age of just seven and received the award when she was ten. He started off his media career by making short films, one of the most notable being Mugaputhagam with Sivakarthikeyan of Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam fame. He then became an assistant director to director Shankar, assisting him during the production of Enthiran and Nanban. It is to be noted that Nanban is a remake of Rajkumar Hirani’s 3 Idiots. Born in Madurai and raised in Chennai, Atlee cites the Mani Ratnam film Thalapathi as his inspiration to enter the cine field. Atlee’s maiden directorial venture was the movie Raja Rani, a love story featuring the ensemble cast of Arya, Nayantara, Nazriya, Jai, and Sathyaraj.

George C. Williams is a cinematographer, who is born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Williams’ occupation is of a photographer in the films and he has worked in the Tamil film industry. Williams was inspired by many famous cinematographer’s works and started to move the camera in different angles by which he can show his photography skills. He has also acted making his debut with the movie, Poi, which was released in 2006. Sridhar also made an appearance in the song which he choreographed. The movie, Poi was made by K. Balachander. He had appeared in a supporting role in this film.

Consequently, Jayaprakash featured in various movies in memorable supporting roles such as in Pandiraj’s “Pasanga,” and other films such as “Moodar Koodam,” “Yuddham Sei,” “Naadodigal,” “Mankatha,” and “Naan Mahaan Alla.” Born in the town of Sirkazhi in Tamil Nadu, Jayaprakash didn’t pursue acting or producing films, as a career. His financial constraints saw him undertake small business ventures such as owning a dairy farm, operating a petrol firm and owning a billiards parlor.

Kalaipuli S Thanu is a veteran Tamil film producer, who gave innumerable successful box office films in Tamil Nadu circuit. He also launched a banner with his name, ‘’Kalaipuli Films International"( known as V. Creations) as a distributor. 

Of late, we hear that Kalaipuli S Thanu is prepared to commence shooting for his upcoming film ‘’Kabali ‘’where Rajanikanth is going to play a dual role in the movie. The superstar will play the role of a mafia don and other one as a Malaysian cop. The film has Radhika Apte, playing the female lead and it will be directed by Pa Ranjith. The veteran film producer has derived the title of this film as Rajini plays a character called Kabaleeshwaran. After many years, the superstar will play a dual role. Producer of the movie Kalaipuli S Thanu was in trouble with the title of the film earlier. He has produced 26 films and distributed 6 films so far. He also did in a cameo appearance for a film Magalir Mattum in 1995. His film Vanna Vanna Pookkal directed by Balu Mahendra won the National Film Award for best feature film in Tramil in 1992. Some of the successful movies that he released included Chennai Kadhal (2006),Aalavandhan (2001), Siraichalai (1996) etc. 

In January, 2015, Kalaipuli S Thanu was currently the elected president for Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC),Thanu and company has formulated the idea of establishment of anti-piracy unit with retired cops, makes provisions to release Tamil movies on home DVD within a month of its release and also reduce the digital processing rates charged by UFO, QUBE and other companies. 

Tamil Film Producers Council’s President and veteran producer, Kalaipuli S Thanu had launched two prestigious projects- Kabali and Vijay 59 which has industry’s two biggest names, Rajinikanth and Vijay respectively. Thanu is hopeful that both the films will pull audiences to the theaters.

G. V. Prakash Kumar is the new Kollywood singer who, after earning a good name in the music industry, made his acting debut with Pencil opposite Sri Divya, but the project got delayed. His next film Darling got released earlier. Darling was a remake of Telugu film Prema Katha Chitram, which became popular. His third film is going to be in Telugu and Tamil. He worked with Harris Jayaraj and sang two popular songs in Anniyan and Unnale Unnale, but he got the break as a full-fledged composer in Tamil film Veyil. His score in Madrasapattinam was appreciated by the masses; especially he cast a spell for his number in the song” "Pookal Pookum Tharunam". The composer made even Dhanush to sing for a song” Voda Voda Voda” and even recorded some songs with his wife Saindhavi.

A young brain deeply rooted in Indian music, his talent needs no mention, but when a singer, composer makes a mark in acting as a hero, it is indeed a milestone in the cine world. Very few had achieved this status, one being legendary playback singer Kishore Kumar. G. V. Prakash Kumar is married to Saindhavi, who is also a playback singer.

Antony Ruben or Livingston Antony Ruben (by birth), is a film editor in the Tamil film industry. He acquired a degree in Visual Communication from the Loyola College in Chennai. Gautham Menon advised him to visit Anthony for further help. Ruben had visited Anthony earlier as well. He approached ace director, Gautham Menon, to become his assistant, but the latter redirects him to director Anthony, to work as his assistant editor. Under Anthony’s mentorship, he worked on the film Vettaiyadu Vilaiyaadu, which was a hit. He was given a bright chance to work on film trailers, which ultimately helped him work on films like Thoranai, Avan Ivan and Vedi. His debut as a full-fledged editor was in the film, Kandaen in 2011.

Na. Muthukumar is a poet, lyricist, writer and novelist, who writes in Tamil. He is famous for writing scripts and songs for Tamil films. Na. Muthukumar was born on 12 July 1975 in a small village named ‘Tirur’ near Kanchipuram in Tamil Nadu. His Father, Mr Nagaraj was a Tamil teacher.Mr Nagaraj always maintained a collection of 5000 books throughout his life, and after he had passed away, this collection was preserved by his son in his office. Also, his mother passed away when he was merely four years old. Muthukumar reminisces that he acquired most of the knowledge of his life from his father’s book collection. Also, to help others he has plans to open a library where everybody could access those books. Na. Muthukumar began his career with a dream to be a director. So, he started working under director Balu Mahendra for about four years as assistant director. But due to turn of events, he landed into being a lyricist. He began with writing the lyrics for the Tamil movie ‘Veera Nadai’ which was directed by Seeman.

P Vijay (Pa Vijay) is a Tamil poet and film lyricist, who wrote the award-winning lyrics for the song’’ Ovvoru Pookalume’’ in Cheran's Autograph in Kollywood film industry. This lyricist had an extensive impact on Tamil cinema and was considered to be a gem writer of many songs that had featured in many movies. This poet and lyricist-writer were born in a middle-class family where his mother was a school teacher, and his father worked as a spinning master in a textile mill in Coimbatore. The actor was born in Coimbatore on 20 October 1974 and did his MA Literature in Tamil from Annamalai University. This poet was a discovery of director K Bhagyaraj, who was his family friend. He was associated with K. Bhagyaraj in the magazine ‘Bhagya’ and even got a chance to pen his lyrics for the film Gnanapazham, which had music by K. Bhagyaraj himself. But it was in 2004 when the film ‘Autograph’ was released, his song ’Ovvoru Pookalume"’ became an instant hit. Dr. Karunanidhi had given him the title’ Vithaga Kavignar’ and he came to be known as one of the best poets in Tamil Literature. Even poet Vali felt that Pa Vijay was part of him and claimed that he alone can be his successor in the field of cinema lyrics. Pa Vijay is still humble despite he has contributions to the literary field by writing many books. He considered Kannadasan and Vairamuthu as his role model. He also acted in lead roles in films like ‘Gnabagangal’, ‘Ilaignan ‘and ‘Thagadu Thagadu’.

Rokesh is a Tamil lyricist, who is well known for his song lyrics containing typical Madras words. His first song was "Danga Maari Oodhari" from the movie Anegan directed by K.V.Anand,the music was composed by Harris Jayraj. That was his first break in the Tamil industry, and after that, he has been just super hit. He was born in the year 1993. He was a high school dropout. At the age 19, he started writing lyrics as a hobby. Rokesh was interested in the film industry and his neighbour Dilip promised him a chance to sing. But he betrayed him. However, his writings improved over the years. To meet his daily expenses he worked as a machine operator in Parry area of Chennai.

Kaloyan Vodenicharov, also known by his nickname Kala has worked as a stunt choreographer in World Z, Troy and Baahubali: The beginning. He was roped in by S S Rajamouli for Baahubali, and now for the Vijay starrer Theri. He is also fondly called by co-workers as Kaloyan. Once the posters of Theri were released, there were rumors that the actor Vijay will be seen in three different roles, and that one of the three will be that of an emotional cop. Theri, which is a family entertainer, will star Amy Jackson, Samantha and Vijay. The music has been composed by G V Prakash. Kaloyan has also worked for Bollywood movies like Dilwale. He has worked as a stunt choreographer in films of Hollywood such as The Bourne Series and Mission Impossible. Apart from staple romance, which is a common thing in South Indian Films, Vijay will be seen doing interesting stunts for the action thriller Theri. By December 2015, Kaloyan and his friends started training actors for stunts for Theri. Kalaipuli Thanu, who is the producer of Theri, signed the project with Atlee, the director.

Dhilip Subbarayan is a stunt choreographer, producer, and actor. He has worked in South Indian film industry. His main of contribution lies in Tamil film industry. After a long time of being a stunt choreographer, he made his debut in Sangu Chakkaram. He was born in Tamil Nadu. His father, Super Subbarayan also has served in the industry as a successful stunt chorographer, for many years. He showed interest in the action and fast lifestyle which is practiced. Like his father, he also dreamed of being in the industry and started working in many movies. He was first noticed in ‘Aaranya Kaandam’ in the year 2011. The movie was a full action phased based on the life of the gangster. The movie was a huge hit and received a world première at the South Asian International Film Festival in the city of New York. He had continued his working with many big and small budget movies in Tamil and Malayalam movies. The movies include Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, Arima Nambi, Puli, and the latest movie Theri. Prabhu Ganesan or better known as Prabhu is a prominent Indian entrepreneur, producer, comedian and actor who mainly appear in Tamil films. He was born on December 25, 1956 in Chennai, India. His mother is Kamala and his father, Sivaji Ganesan is a stage and film actor during the 20th century. Prabhu is the father of Vikram Prabhu, who is making a name in the Tamil film industry. After his debut in the 1982 film, Sangili, the actor started to play leading and supporting roles, which gained him the Best Actor in Lead Role Award by the Tamil Nadu State Film Awards in after donning a brilliant performance in the Tamil film, Chinna Thambi in 1991.

Swaminathan is a talented and popular Tamil actor. He is a person with multidimensional talent. Swaminathan is an eminent Tamil movie and television actor and also an immensely talented stand-up comedian. His full name is Sabha Swaminathan also fondly known within the industry as Lollu. He’s been in the Tamil film and television circuit since the year 1997. He got his nickname after he appeared as Sabha Lollu in leading Tamil entertainment channel Vijay TV’s comedy satirical show Lollu Sabha.

T M Karthik whose full name is T M Karthik Srinivasan is a famous stage performer and actor. From the past years, he has acted over in around 60 productions and is seen around five hundred times on stage. In 2007, he took his first step in the acting industry by doing his debut in ‘Mani Ratnam’s film “Guru”, which was based on the life of famous Indian industrialist ‘Dhirubhai Ambani’, the founder of Reliance Industries. From the very first film, TM Karthik acted alongside actors like ‘Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’ and ‘Abhishek Bachchan’. Not only in Bollywood, but he also bagged roles in many Tollywood movies as well.

Thambi Ramaiah, an Indian film actor, and director is considered as the busiest actors in Kollywod appearing in maximum movies that released in 2014. Once upon a time, he did not even how to make a foray into Kollywood. Anticipating for someone to give a chance in films, he had to wait till his luck could get him a status of an actor. 

Director KS Ravikumar(KSR), started his career in Tamil cinema as an assistant director to Bharathiraja for sometime before becoming an independent director. He has made 40 movies, out of which six films are re-makes. 

KSR has made the most number of movies with actor Sarath Kumar (10) and actresses Simran and Ramya Krishnan. Interestingly enough to know that his stunt choreographer Kanal Kannan had collaborated with KSR in 16 films so far. 

His first project in Tamil film world was in the year 1990, when he made a genre-breaking film Puriyaadha Pudhir which was a re-make of the Kannada movie Tarka. The Kannada versions was itself an adaptation of an Agastha Christie novel called ‘The Unexpected Guest’. After success of Puriyaadha Pudhir, he had never looked back. 

He has directed Rajinikanth and Sivaji Ganesan too in his career. He also had directed Sanjay Dutt in Police Giri (2014) with Prachi Desai and Lingaa(2014) with Rajinikanth, Anushka Shetty and Sonakshi Sinha. Both the films did not fare well in the box office. He also has appeared in a small role in the movies he directs which added to his popularity, as a cameo actor(21 films). 

He is well known for bringing Rajinikanth and Sivaji Ganesan in Padayappa (1999), the film was a success in box-office. He also directed Kamal Haasan in Avvai Shanmugi (1996), which was a straight adaptation of the American comedy film, Mrs. Doubtfire. Kamal Haasan’s performance in the film was truly appreciated and the film was made in Hindi too as Chachi 420(1997) by Kamal Haasan ( director and producer). Although both the Hindi and Tamil versions are considered to be Indian remake of Mrs. Doubtfire, there are many plot differences between the original and the Indian version. 

Many of his assistant directors went to make a big name for themselves in Tamil cinema in their own right, one example is Director Cheran. The latest is director Gaurav to join the feat. 

KSR will be remembered for his punctuality and dedication to his works, he used to concentrate a lot on the budget of his movie and tried to complete the film as early as possible.

Hariharan is a renowned Indian singer, who sings mainly for Hindi and Tamil films. Born in 1955, he is a well-known Ghazal singer. He was also instrumental in bringing fusion music to India. 

Colonial Cousins is the name given to Hariharan’s band, wherein he collaborated with Lesle Lewis. This band was featured in many private albums. Not only this, they have also composed music for a few movies in Hindi and Tamil. 

Hariharan is born and brought up in Mumbai and he is well-versed in Tamil, Malayalam, English and Hindi. Hariharan is the offspring of famous Carnatic vocalists H.A.S. Mani and Shrimati Alamelu. Hariharan inherited the music skills from his mother. Hindustani music was made known to him in his youth. Hariharan indeed, took great efforts to reach the position that he is in today; he used to practice singing for 13 hours. 

During the initial stages of his career Hariharan used to sing for television serials. After winning a prize in a competition at all India level Hariharan was offered to sing in the film “Gaman” by late music composer Jaidev. The song “Ajeeb Sa Neha Mujh Par Guzar Gaya Yaaron" from the film earned him recognition that he rightly deserved. 

The song “Thamizha Thamizha” from the movie Roja was an instant hit and Hariharan, who sung it was awarded the “Best Male Playback Singer” in the Tamil Nadu State Government Film Awards. 

Hariharan was introduced into the Tamil film industry by A R Rahman, who was also a newbie at that time. Since then, the duo created magic with soul stirring songs in films, including Minsara Kanavu, Jeans, Indian, Muthu, Taal, Mudhalvan, Iruvar, Indira, Rangeela, Alaipayuthey, Kannathil MuthamIttal, Sivaji etc. Hariharan is credited with the Padma Shri Award and has received National awards for a couple of times. Hariharan is the proud singer of around 700 songs. He had also sung in Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali and Marathi.

Azhagam Perumal is associated with the Tamil film industry as an actor and a director. He belongs to Kulasekharapuram village of Tamil Nadu. Azhagam’s parents wished their son to become an engineer. Azhagam applied for the Adhyar Fillm Institute, situated in Chennai. His family opposed his decision. He made his parents proud by winning the Gold Medal from the Institute when he passed out in 1991. Azhagam started to work with the Indian film director, screenwriter, and producer, Mr. Mani Ratnam, as an assistant in 1991. His first movie was the Tamil Crime drama Thalapathi that was released in 1991. He worked as an assistant to Mani Ratnam till 1997, for the movie Iruvar. Azhagam also happened to debut his career in acting with Mani Ratnam’s movie Alaipayuthey that was released in 2000. 

Deva was born on 20th November 1950 in the state of Tamilnadu, India. His full name is Devanesan Chokkalingam, and he is a very prominent and promising music director of the Kollywood film industry. He has also sung songs that were huge hits indeed. He got huge fan followers for his music composition and singing. The instruments that he use includes Keyboards, Guitar, Piano, and Harmonium. He is quite active in the cinema field right from the year 1988 until the present.

A. R. Rahman is a Legendary Music Composer, prominently known for his rocking music for the movie “The Slumdog Millionaire”. He had won a couple of Oscars for this album and made India proud.  Allah-Rakha Rahman’s birth name is A.S.Dileep Kumar. He was born on January 6th, 1967 in Chennai. His music journey had begun at the age of 4 when he learned piano. At the age of 11, he joined the Maestro Ilayaraja's troupe as a Keyboard player. He made his debut as a composer with the legendary film-maker G.R.Maniratnam’s film “Roja” which came out in 1992. Some of his popular music albums were for the movies like Rangeela, Bombay, Dil Se and Lagaan: Once upon a time in India.
