It is sometimes fascinating to read about how film stars, especially in the South, get into the industry from totally diverse fields, and with no conscious intentions to be in movies. Andrea Jeremiah’s career seems to fit into this category. Her childhood ambition was to go for higher studies and get to become a psychiatrist. He worked as the assistant to “A Venkatesh” and “Vikraman.” His career as a director started in the year 2001, through the “Mammootty” starrer, “Anandham.” His first movie got him the Best Film Award at Filmfare by Cinema Express. He got consecutive success through “R Madhavan” starrer, “Run” and Vishal Reddy flick “Sandakozhi.” Lingusamy also owns a production house along with his brother Subash Chandra Bose, called, “Thirrupathi Brothers.” He has produced nearly 16 films with his production house. “Deepavali” was the first movie under his production banner. He scripted and directed “Bheema” in 2008. The movie showed the action face of Chiyaan Vikram and won the acclaim as a good action movie in his career. In 2010, he scripted, directed and produced, “Paiyaa,” the Karthik Sivakumar and Tamannaah movie, which earned him positive criticism.

Sadiq Khan is a budding director in Kollywood who had worked with directors like AR Murugadoss and Lingusamy. Sadiq has worked with Murugadoss in movie Ghajini. He became an independent film director for Thollaikkatchi' produced by Raja Bala Senthil. Sadid Khan impressed the Bollywood actor Aamir Khan too while making Hindi version of ‘Ghajini’.

N Subash Chandra Bose is an Indian producer who works particularly in Tamil cinema. Siddharth Roy Kapur is an Indian businessman, film producer and managing director of Disney India. He hails from a film background; his mother was a film choreographer and his brothers being well known film actors. His father was a Punjabi and mother, Salome Roy Kapur, was a Jew and former Miss India. He is a two time divorcee and is currently married to actress Vidya Balan. He finished his Bachelors in Commerce from the Sydenham College in Mumbai and got his MBA from the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS), where he was a part of the hallowed Placement Committee.

Brindha Sarathy was born in Kumbakonam, Tamil Nadu. He started his film career by working as an associate director and dialogue writer for N. Linguswamy in his debut film Aanandham. However, he didn't work with Linguswamy again in the latter's subsequent films but became an independent director. He remade the 2001 Telugu film Manasantha Nuvve into his directional Tamil debut Thithikudhe (2003). The film starred Jiiva and Sridevi Vijaykumar in the prominent lead roles, with Shrutika in a primary supporting role. It was a moderate success at the box office. He then had planned to shoot his next film after, again featuring Jiiva in the lead, which, however, got shelved for unknown reasons and didn't take off again. After a long hiatus, he again joined Linguswamy as a dialogue writer for the romantic-action film Paiyaa in 2010. He also released books on his poems.

Santosh Sivan (born 8 February 1964) is a film director, producer, and cinematographer, of the Indian cinema. Santosh is an FTII (Film and Television Institute of India) graduate and has so far has done 41 documentaries and 45 feature films. Not only is he a founding associate of the Indian Society of Cinematographers (ISC), but also is the bigger of the highest number of Director of Photography (DOP) award in India. Sivan is the first ever Cinematographer in the Asia-Pacific area to achieve an American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) fellowship.

Kabilan was born on 16th May 1977 in Pondicherry, India. He is an Indian lyricist in film and television industry, actor, and poet. Kabilan currently resides in Chennai, Tamilnadu, India. He acted in the movie Dasavathaaram and enacted as Assistant to Vincent Poovaragavan in the year 2008. He wrote scripts for different television shows like starting in the year 2003 in Sorgam. Viveka is a lyricist, who works in the Tamil film industry of South India. Viveka started as a lyricist in the year 2015. Viveka was born in 1985, and currently resides in Chidambaram in Tamil Nadu. Before venturing into the film industry, Viveka studied engineering and then law. Inspired by the work of Vairamuthu, a famous lyricist of the Tamil industry, he also began penning down poems. In the year 2015, he received his first breakthrough movie, “Enakkul Oruvan”, for which he wrote the lyrics of the songs “Poo Avizhum Pozhudhil”, and “Yaar”. In the year of 2016, he has worked on four films, namely: “Kathakali”, “Irudhi Suttru”, “Aranmanai 2”, and “Jil Jung Juk”. He is working on the upcoming film, “Oru Naal Koothu”. These five in total include around ten songs that are being written by Viveka.

Benny Dayal is an Indian Pop-Singer. Born in Kollam, Kerala, India on May 13, 1984. He was a member of the S5 Pop Band in India. He started as a playback singer and known to have work with various reputable composers.

Soori is a South Indian actor in Kollywood. His nickname is “Parotta Soori’ which has been derived from his Tamil movie that he had acted. In 2009, he acted in a film ‘Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu’(2009) where a scene was shot with a crew of actors, who sit together and eat Parotta by keeping a challenge who eats more Parotta’s. In this scene, Parotta Soori performed his best, so people coined his name as Parotta Soori. Basically, he appeared as a comedian in many Tamil movies. After the film became a blockbuster, he never looked back. He is doing five to six films in a year. Brahmanandam was born on 1st February 1956. He was the seventh son to Kanneganti Nagalingachari and Kannaganti Lakshmi Narsamma. He completed his high schooling from a high school at Sattenapalle. He later pursued his intermediate and graduation from D.N.R College, Bhimavaram. He completed his post graduation in Telugu literature from Andhra University. Before becoming an actor, Brahmanandam had worked as a lecturer in Atthilli for nine years.

Brahmanandam is considered as one of the most versatile Indian comic actors, noted particularly for his comic expressions. He has gone ahead to receive many accolades in the world. In the year 2007, he was in the Guinness World Record for appearing in the highest number of films that is over 1000 movies. The government of India honored him with Padma Shri Award in the year 2009. Brahmanandam was awarded the Best Actor in a comic role in the year 2011 at The Hyderabad Times Film Awards.

In the year 2012 in Dookudu, he was voted the Best Comedian in the Cinemaa Awards. The same year he was also awarded the Best Comedian in the SIIMA Awards. He went ahead to clinch the Best Actor in a Comic Role Award in the TOIFA awards ceremony. Surely Brahmanandam deserves all this because of his natural talent and hard work in the acting industry. Brahmanandam is married to Lakshmi Kanneganti, and he is blessed with two children, namely; Raja Goutham and Siddharth.
