Plot

After relieving his priesthood, Father Benedict starts investigating some criminal cases and helps the police. While investigating a case, he comes across Ameya Gabriel, a child, who is an orphan. He comes to know about the mysteries involved in the lives of Ameya and her teacher Jessy. How did Father Benedict finds out the complications and solves the mysteries is the main theme of the story.

Star Performance

Mammootty is stunning as always. This is a different role for the star in his career so far. His expressions, body language and dialogue delivery are fantastic as usual. Manju Warrier is beautiful and performs so naturally, as we all know. Nikhila did her best. Baby Monica had outperformed the other stars and created an impression among the audience.

Analysis

The film has hyped the expectation as it is the first film for Mammuka and Manju together. This film is a bit different from the thriller pattern in Malayalam movies that released so far. Being a debutant, Jofin managed to bring the senior stars into the script based on horror – mystery thriller. The director has given a wonderful interval block and the climax. Surprisingly, we see a debutant giving such a projection to a movie and making the viewers watch it without distraction. The cinematography by Akhil is just fantastic. His dealing from various angles makes the audience travel with the story and along with the BGM, the cinematography makes the audience sit at the seat’s edge. Especially the BGM rocks in the second half.

What’s Not There?

• Except for a few flaws, nothing is a big mistake here

Verdict

With a different story, excellent performances and a good direction, the movie makes the audience have a satisfying watch! It is not only a treat for the Mammooty fans but also for the general movie lovers!
