Plot

Adv. Mukundan Unni is an unsuccessful lawyer. All his efforts to get clients were wasted, and after a mishap he lost his job too. Later, his mother had an accident falling from a ladder and was admitted to a hospital. Mr. Mukundan was falling short of money for his mother’s operation then, his insurance agent Adv. Venu approaches him there and offers him a deal. The plan was to convert the case into a road accident, claim the insurance money, and then distribute the money among themselves. Through this method Adv. Mukundan was able to pay for the surgery. Now he got to know about the strategy to make easy money and started doing the same. This creates opposition between the lawyers. Will Adv. Mukundan uses this method to get rich? The rest of the story revolves around it along with lots of watersheds and crises.

Star Performance

Vineeth Sreenivasan perfectly fits the character of a grey character Advocate and follows the flawless storyline of a dark protagonist. The rest of the cast also carries the script impressively. Along with that, the scriptwriter, editor, and camera work were top-notch. The story is smartly written, weaving a complex web of intrigue, deceit, and rivalry. It holds a mirror up to society's obsession with wealth and exposes the ruthless and unethical measures some might resort to achieve it.

Analysis

Mukundan Unni Associates is an experimental film that is not just a cup of tea for everyone because most of the audience is not used to this genre of dark humor, which is basically the backbone of the movie. Even though the ending is expected to backfire on all the bad deeds, but it didn’t go like that. The greedy, super smart, and apathetic Mukundan Unni is very well presented by Vineeth Sreenivasan. Mukundan Unni's portrayal of a failed lawyer is both convincing and unsettling. As he learns the ins and outs of manipulating medical insurance claims, the viewer is drawn into his world of moral ambiguity. His schemes and tactics are cunning, yet repulsive, illustrating the lengths some people can go for financial security. The plot is engaging from the beginning and keeps you on the edge.

Hence the movie is a must-watch.
