Plot
Prabhakar, a retired man, expresses voyeuristic tendencies when watching over young couples through his window in the hotel next door, reminding him of his own youth.
Analysis
Mangomury has a decidedly fresh, interesting plot in contrast to its South Indian contemporaries. It explores the generational gap in attitudes toward love and sexuality through the lens of a retired government worker, Prabhakar. The film uses figurative shots and metaphors instead of literal and direct portrayal of the movie's scenes, thus failing to conjure up an accurate and coherent understanding of the film in general. Jaffer Idukki is remarkable in his performance, and the perfect mixture of witty yet thoughtful.
