It is sometimes fascinating to read about how film stars, especially in the South, get into the industry from totally diverse fields, and with no conscious intentions to be in movies. Andrea Jeremiah’s career seems to fit into this category. Her childhood ambition was to go for higher studies and get to become a psychiatrist. But music was always in the background, as she started learning classical Western piano when she was just eight, and she quickly showed her prowess when she formed her own troupe called Young Stars which also was a precursor for her later singing and music composing career.

Mohan Lal is the Super Star of the Malayalam film industry. He is the Son in Law of a famous producer cum veteran actor Balaji. Mohan Lal is married to Suchithra, the elder daughter of Balaji. Mohan Lal was born in the year 1960 in Elanthoor in Kerala. He is very popular for his natural acting and simplicity. The first movie, he committed was Thiranottam, but the first to release was Manjil Virinja Pookal. This movie had Poornima Jayaram as his pair and that is the debut movie in Malayalam for her too. Rajavinte Makan was the movie that made him to reach super heights. Mohan Lal is not choosey in particular character; but he acts in all types of film that give him a good performance scope.

Siddique, who is a Malayalam film actor, producer, and a television host started his film career initially with comedy roles, and later he continued performing a variety of roles. Born at Edavanakkad, in Ernakulam Kerala, Siddique is the youngest child with two other siblings. Completing his primary schooling in his hometown, Siddique later took Diploma in Electrical Engineering. He worked as an Electrical Engineer at Kerala and worked for a few more years in Saudi Arabia. Later he quit his job and started exploring his inner talents. He started his artistic career as a mimicry artist. Married to Seena, Siddique has two sons. Shaheen Siddique is his eldest son from previous marriage, and he made his debut in the movie Pathemari.

Ajmal Ameer is a well known Malayalam and Tamil actor. He is famous for his performance in the film ‘Anjathae’. Ajmal was born in Kerala and has a brother Askar, who is going to make his debut through a Malayalam movie. Ajmal

Antony Perumbavoor was a driver earlier in his life (he had been a driver to veteran actor Mohanlal) and later became a famous producer in the film industry. Eventually, his life took a drastic change, and he became Mohanlal’s business partner. Antony Perumbavoor owns a production house named Ashirvad Cinema and the first film that this production Studio produced was Narsimha.

Sreevalsan J. Menon is a music composer and Carnatic vocalist. He was born in Trichur, Kerela. Sreevalson is an A Grade artist at All India Radio. He has performed at many concerts including National concerts of AIR and as well as on Doordarshan. He has also done concerts in United States, United Kingdom and Middle- East. He learned and got trained from Rajalakshmi Krishnan and T. V. Ramani. Sreevalson has released many albums and composed music for some movies.

Rajamani is a late music director who had been associated with music in every form right from his childhood. Music had run in his generation, and his father and grandfather too were renowned musicians in Malayalam industry. Not many know he is associated with over 700 movies in providing background score and has recorded in more than ten language movies.
