Antony Perumbavoor

Antony Perumbavoor was a driver earlier in his life (he had been a driver to veteran actor Mohanlal) and later became a famous producer in the film industry. Eventually, his life took a drastic change, and he became Mohanlal’s business partner. Antony Perumbavoor owns a production house named Ashirvad Cinema and the first film that this production Studio produced was Narsimha.

Antony Perumbavoor is famous for producing movies like Drishyam in which he has not just played the role of a producer but has also acted in it. He also has bagged himself a Best Film Award for this movie in the year 2013. Antony is a very successful producer and has given to the movie industry various films like Spirit, which won the National Award for the Best film. The film is based on social issues. This award was presented to him in the year 2012.

One of the major things that can be said to have happened in Antony's life can be traced back to the time when he was accused of threatening S Kumar for the movie Padmashree Bharat Dr Saroj Kumar. The film had sarcastic and snide comments against Mohanlal, his dear partner. Apparently, Antony had become really offended by these sardonic and condescending comments that he threatened Srinivasan, the male lead and script writer for it. The movie was directed by Sajin Raghavan. 

Antony was never known for his politeness in the film industry and is supposedly one of the most arrogant and high tempered celebrities of the industry. To revert to such sardonic comments, Antony had decided to make a movie about Sreenivasan, and it is said that he has planned to make Santosh Pandit as the main lead in the movie.
