Ithu Thanda Police has a catchy title. Well, let’s see whether the movie is as catchy as the title. 

Plot

Asif Ali is elated when he learns that he has been assigned the job of a driver to women cops in Elathur. The police station is under the supervision of Abhirami. But the twist in the film is when  Abirami is against all his boyish gimmicks. And from then, Ali’s life takes a turn. There is also the story of one of the cops being smitten by Ali. Watch the movie to know how it is executed. 

Star Performances

Asif Ali slips into his role with much elan. Abhirami is given a character that is too loud, and she manages to do what is required of her. Janani Iyer With her beautiful eyes and charismatic onscreen p >> Read More... has little scope to perform. 

Analysis

The director Manoj Palodan Manoj Palodan is an Indian movie director who has >> Read More... strives hard to express his idea through the male protagonist. Also, we see Abhirami driving a bike to show that she is indeed gritty. Her character is such that it speaks about men knowing their limit. 

What’s there?

The first half starts with a promising note and has quite a novel premise.  If attention had been given in terms of executing it properly, the movie would have appealed to the audience. 

What’s not there?

  • The characters of women could have been given more depth.
  • The side track seems to be unnecessary.
  • The romantic element could have been way better. 
  • The movie gives an impression as though the director wanted to finish it off quickly. 
  • The dialogues of the movie could have been penned in a better fashion. 

Verdict

The movie is cliched, and it lacks the required energy.
