Yog is also passionate about folk traditions, myths, and history and he is working so hard to bring his stories alive on theatres and other mediums, most especially for the children. Because of this, he earned the prestigious International Fellowship on the Chevening-Clore Leadership Programme for Cultural Leaders, making him one of the four scholars who was selected internationally. Yog entered the Tamil film industry in Gautham Menon’s action drama film Kaakha Kaakha in 2003.
