But many a time, we see an anti-hero, a character who is ethically questionable and lacks the traditional heroic traits but still has the audience rooting for them. 9. Ajay Sharma/Vicky Malhotra (Baazigar)

Shah Rukh Khan mostly played the bad guys in the starting couple of years of his career. The same is the case with Baazigar. He portrays a young man, Ajay, who will take any means to exact revenge on a successful businessman who killed his father. Ajay is cold-blooded, calculating, and a remorseless rogue. Still, the character managed to capture the audience with his slick charm, and the movie made SRK a star, for which he also won a Filmfare Award.

10. Vijay (Deewar)
