Ajay Kunnel is a writer. He is a lyricist in the Malayalam film industry. He has written songs in Malayalam movies and TV series. He was born in Thodupuzha, Idukku district in Kerela. His parents are Vasu Narayanan and Vilasini. He got married to Aarti. He lives in Kochi, India. Ajay attended St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School in Kaliyan to complete his school education. He graduated from Newman College, Thodupuzha. He did a B.com at his graduation. He went to the Bharathiyar University, Coimbatore, to complete his MBA. He is an FSO at Glenmark Pharmaceuticals.

He entered into the film industry in 2020. But before writing for films, he first wrote for a TV serial. He wrote the theme song of the serial Indulekha. The show was telecasted on Surya TV. The show came out in 2020. Ajay made his film debut by writing songs for a Malayalam film, Sethu Aleena. He wrote the lyrics for the song Araari Raaro. Sunad Shankar gave the music to it.
