The lead Elliot Alderson was a young man residing in New York. He was working in a cyber- security company All safe at a post of security engineer in daytime and a hacker in the night. He had some disorders too like social anxiety, dissociative identity disorder, and clinical depression. He soon joined a team named as society which is a group of hackers whose revolutionist is known as Mr. Robot; this is where the title of the series came from. The motto of this team was to destroy the data of a company named as E Corp. Eliot connects to people by hacking their thought process; this is how he connects to people and helps the team to hack the system of E Corp. and completes their mission.

There was a girl named as Shayla Nico who acts as Elliot’s girlfriend and his drug dealer. And Shayla was provided with drugs by Fernando Vera who was first possessed by Shayla and later by Elliot. There was another person who was a close friend of Elliot named as Leon. He was the one who was responsible for Elliot’s safety and there was a possibility of his being an army agent who was probably there for a secret mission of his own.
