San Andreas Teaser, Trailer & Video Songs
Everyone loves a disaster story line. Whether it involves the destruction of a city, the earth, or the entire galaxy. San Andreas is a one such film starring Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson as a rescue pilot of the Los Angeles Fire Department. The movie showcases the calamity caused by a fault rupture which in turn triggers a series of large-scale earthquakes along the fault line. The plot follows a tried-and-trusted formula, a man trying to save his family, against all odds, through a terrifying crisis.
The trailer has everything expected in a disaster feature. There is collapsing buildings, horrifying tsunami tidal wave and, mass destruction of property and people. The CGI graphics and special effects are incredible. The background soundtrack of Sia singing ‘California Dreamin’’ to the clips of destruction and annihilation of the city is haunting and dramatic. The trailer gives us a sneak-peek of the devastation caused by the earthquake and leaves us wanting more.
Dwayne Johnson did justice to his role in the film. He underwent rigorous training with an elite search and rescue team to learn the ropes to lend authenticity to his character. He did a majority of the stunts by himself as the director shot all the scenes with the actor’s face in view, and this gave the film its authenticity. Mr. Johnson has a nomination for the Best Action Performance award at the 2016 MTV Movie Awards. The review of the movie is conflicting. Because the story focuses a chunk of its time on the special effects, the character development appears lacking.
Fans considered ‘The Rock’s’ performance as the redeeming feature of the story. In spite of the disagreeable reviews, fans of action-packed catastrophe films will love the experience.
