The trailer commences by describing Nelson Mandela with powerful adjectives. Then, Mr. Mandela and his social activist wife are introduced. The manner in which the people try to stand against the apartheid system can be seen. Mr. Mandela suggests that peaceful negotiations have been of no use, and hence his people must strongly fight for their rights. When asked what he wants, he says he wants his family to walk free in their land. The hardships faced by Mandela in prison for having voiced for equality and freedom have been accurately demonstrated. The trailer invokes an immense sense of patriotism with the song ‘’Wavin Flag’’ by K’Naan playing in the background. The Weinstein Company released thirty-videos for the film.

This particular trailer obtained 59,690 views on their page. The film has been based on the autobiography of Nelson Mandela. Justin Chadwick directed the movie. Nelson Mandela is a South African lawyer advocating for the rights of his people. He feels agitated by the Apartheid system and the manner in which the freedom of his people gets compromised due to it. He thinks that peace has not yielded any positive results, so he encourages his people to fight harder and protest harder to stand against the system, for the sake of earning their rights.

His wife, a social activist, supports him throughout his campaign. But due to a sense of insecurity about him and the violent attacks caused, he gets imprisoned. The film emotionally describes his hardships while in the jail and how his firm attitude lets him not give up his cause. Despite being in captivity, he inspires millions of people to struggle hard to achieve freedom. He gets released after twenty-seven years and becomes the President of South Africa to lead the country towards glory. The film received positive to mixed response from the critics.
