John Wick Teaser, Trailer & Video Songs
Action, drama and violence are the three most important formulas for a crime thriller which this trailer has in spades. The trailer starts off with a run of the mill scene about a man and his puppy living together and cruising in a sweet, vintage 69 Mustang. The plot picks up when a bunch of Russian thugs corner him and ask about his car. His denial soon seems to be the wrong answer as the thugs follow him home, beat him up and kill his puppy. When the thug unable to sell the car returns home, he soon finds out the seriousness of his actions. His father, the head of the Russian crime syndicate, puts a bounty on the protagonist’s head after realizing just who his son has crossed. John Wick is an assassin who retired from killing to spend his life with his beloved.
The puppy, Daisy, was his only gift from his dead wife, and the attack against his dog and her death brought him out of retirement to seek vengeance. He steps back into the world that he swore never to enter. The trailer has the makings of a great B movie with a healthy dose of big guns, exploding cars and badass fighting. The background soundtrack pumps up the adrenaline while the violence and explosion add to the excitement. The trailer shows that there are no good guys in ‘John Wick’ but only great actors. Keanu Reeves has brought great character and substance to his role and has showcased a perfect role of a grieving widower, tortured by his past.
