American Hustle Teaser, Trailer & Video Songs
American Hustle is a gallows comedy (black comedy) crime film. It has a strong ensemble cast of Bradley Cooper, Christian Bale, Amy Adams, Jennifer Lawrence and Jeremy Renner. It is loosely based on the FBI ABSCAM operation of the 1970's and 80's. The trailer of the film has an ascending tempo, and it starts off on a slow note with effective background music and gradually picks up tempo. The story is bolstered by well-written script, which is in-turn complemented by phenomenal cinematography. The trailer prepares the audience for a bold, sultry, engaging and intellectual brand of cinema. The trailer also showed that all the characters will get their screen space. Overall the trailer made it clear that the film was going to appeal to only niche audiences. The critics commended the film and its stars for their strong acting and intelligent script. Silver Linings Playbook director David O. Rusell was showered with praise for his ‘vibrant direction’. The film fared well in the award ceremonies, claiming 3 BAFTAs and 3 Golden Globes among other awards.
