Plot
Pailam Pilaga revolves around the story of the protagonist, Shiv. He belongs to the village, Kothula Gutta but he longs to travel to Dubai to improve his life. For this, he needs at least two lakhs. His grandmother gives him the idea of selling a piece of ancestral land to cover the expenses. Shiv and his friend Pranav plan to sell the property. However, he falls in love with a woman, Devi, and her opinion is that he should not travel to Dubai and instead be happy with what he already has. Because of this, he has to choose or try to find a balance between his aspirations and romantic relationship.
Star Performance
Sai Teja’s performance in this film, compared to his previous films, really showed his growth in acting.
Pavani Karanam’s acting performance was impressive. Her character in the film is unforgettable.
Analysis
Devi and Shiv share a visible connection. The actors all give outstanding performances. Background music makes a lasting impact. The music is the best part of the film. The story is realistic and entertaining, with a good script and plot. The visual appeal was also perfect. Although the plot is formulaic and typical, Anand Gurram still does an excellent job of making the story enjoyable. He successfully highlights the problems of a society that glamourizes travelling abroad without taking its risks into account. The film also effectively shows unemployment problems in villages.
