Arjun Sarja was born as Srinivasa Sarja. He is an Indian film director as well as an actor. Arjun Sarja was born on 15th of August in the year 1964 to a Kannada film actor Shakti Prasad and an art teacher Lakshmi, in Mysore, Karnataka. He also had an elder brother. Arjun Sarja's father always disagreed in letting him enter the film world as he himself has been an experienced actor and he did not want his son get into an acting career.

But he could not go against his son's destiny and at last he gave the permission to Sarja at the age of 14 to make his first film debut as a child actor after the film producer Rajendra Singh Babu convinced him for his Kannada film "Simhada Mari Sainya" which was a children's film.
