Prem is a Tamil serial and movie actor. He was born and brought up in Chennai. He debuted in Bharathiraja’s ‘Eera Nilam’ as the hero’s brother in 2003. He then shifted to serials and now appears regularly on both screens.

Prem is the son of a late DSP. After his debut giving almost nothing, he acted in K.Balachander’s ‘Anni’ and learnt a lot from it and the director. He then starred in Radaan’s ‘Annamalai’. Director C.J.Baskar had made him wait the whole day on its inauguration and gave him a chirpy youngster’s role. He was happy to do that, since he was about to break from his cliched soft roles.
