Plot

Kooki is a young girl who was gang-raped in Assam. Her loved ones supported her and gave her time to heal. Dr Priyadarshini Pator and SP Mandira Singh support her. Journalist Navneeta debates getting justice. Why is rape not considered equal to murder? This is the question asked against the judicial system and the rest of the story follows it.

Star Performance

Ritisha’s performance is fantastic. She excels in her traumatic character and the victim. Rajesh Tailang has delivered a brilliant performance. Nancy Singh and Bodhisattva did justice to the given roles.

Analysis

The film criticizes the nation, which has formulated many amendments, but still, it didn’t succeed in protecting women. The film beautifully showcases the emotional and psychological collapse. The director maintains the right pace throughout the film, making the audience glued to their seats until the end. The film clearly states the difference between justice and law. Though many things are unexplored, the director has made strong points and provided valid reasons. The scenes when Kooki questions her innocence and how she reacts to being disappointed, even though justice is being served, are classically shot. These scenes will touch anyone.
