Star Performance
All the actors in the film were cast from a general call-out made by the director to the people in the Ukrainian deaf community. All the cast in the movie however, displayed fairly average acting performances. Hryhoriy Fesenko and Yana Novikova nailed their roles as Serhiy and Anya.
Analysis
The movie is one of the most unsettling movies. The raw and brutal nature of direction shakes our core within. The movie has quite a few explicit scenes. The world of bullying, violence, juvenile crimes and prostitution is explicitly shown in the movie. Although some of the scenes feel dragged out unnecessarily. The whole movie is based in Ukrainian sign language with rarely any dialogues. The movie is one of its types, that some artsy, intellectual people may claim as a masterpiece, while others might find it as a boring and senseless silent film. The movie shows desperately how even and vulnerable the deaf population can be.

Verdict
The movie is a unique film. It may seem daunting watching a dialogue-less movie, completely using Ukrainian sign language, but the movie with time gets the audience immersed in the experience. Most time the viewers need to interpret their own dialogue, but the visuals keep the imagination within the constructs of the story. While keeping the unfolding events grounded to their reality, the story goes deeper into the dark world they live in. The movie requires attention and patience and is not suited for people with a short attention span.
