Plot
The Festival is a story about a boy named Nick who has a habit of making everything about himself and is low on the fun side, but there is one thing that he truly cares about, and that is his girlfriend, but she also dumped him, and he was heartbroken, he experiences an extraordinary meltdown that becomes the talk of the entire university. But just as he thinks that his life had reached a dead end, his loyal best friend, Shane, comes to the rescue and gets him and Nick on the train to a 3-day adventure at a musical festival. There Shane takes the help of Amy, a quirky and eccentric festival expert. Together, they embark on a journey that promises unforgettable music, wild escapades, and muddy madness. From the creators of the beloved series "The Inbetweeners" comes "The Festival," a movie that explores the bonds of friendship, and the tumultuous process of growing up.
Star Performance
The lead of the film Joe Thomas (who played Nick), Hammed Animashaun (who played Shane), and Claudia O’Doherty (who played Amy), nails their job and gives a wonderful performance with proper timing of dialogue delivery, Joe Thomas steals the show with his expressions. The overall cast of the film did a pretty good job.
Analysis
This film has everything you could ask for from a comedy genre film. A good storyline, with cleverly written dialogues, a screenplay, and some pretty good jokes, although there are some times when the jokes presented to the audience do not work, actors’ expressions cover for that and make the audience laugh. This film carries a light-hearted theme and starts with fun music.
The artistic approach of the director and the team in terms of using colors and other props is fantastic. The camera work or cinematography by Simon Tindall deserves praise. The overall film, in shots, locations, and colors, is pretty amazing.
