Plot
Jack Stone (Mathew Reese), a cop, robs a Russian mob bank and ends up in the same prison where the mob boss killed Jack’s wife. Will he be successful in taking the revenge?
Star performance
The acting is vague and over the top. In some instances the most prominent issue the audience would have is Chuck Liddell putting on a Russian accent which comes off as bland and fake. The rest of the actors are okay in their respective portrayals.
Analysis
The film has a simple revenge story but what makes it a random action film. There is an art to shooting action scenes and this film does a surface job in capturing and choreographing those action sequences. The jail sequences are cliched as hell. It's like Michael from The Office describing his Prison Mike story. The actresses are only as eye candy; they have nothing to do except look like a doll, despite the actresses having potential. Chuck Liddell putting on a Russian accent is painful to watch, he doesn't come off as menacing one bit which lets down the film. There was no need for his character to be Russian, but this choice is one of the biggest downfalls of this movie because the actor simply can’t pull off the accent. How come the makers didn’t realize this during the making of the film? The action sequences are as fake as fights in WWE. Riot is a below-average action film with a cliched story and a weak villain.

Verdict
Suppose you want to watch WWE-like fights in a story format. This film is for you.
